سورة الغاشـيـة
اٰیاتہا 26
 The Overwhelming / Al Ghashiyah (Recite)

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
اللہ کے نام سے شروع جو نہایت مہربان رحم والا
هَلْ اَتٰىكَ حَدِيْثُ الْغَاشِـيَةِ1 
بیشک تمہارے پاس اس مصیبت کی خبر آئی جو چھا جائے گی
Certainly the news of the calamity that will overwhelm has come to you!
وُجُوْهٌ يَّوْمَىِٕذٍ خَاشِعَةٌ2 
کتنے ہی منہ اس دن ذلیل ہوں گے
Many a face will be disgraced on that day.
عَامِلَةٌ نَّاصِبَةٌ3 
کام کریں مشقت جھیلیں
Labouring, striving hard.
تَصْلٰى نَارًا حَامِيَةً4 
جائیں بھڑکتی آگ میں
(Yet) Going into the blazing fire.
تُسْقٰى مِنْ عَيْنٍ اٰنِيَةٍ5 
نہایت جلتے چشمہ کا پانی پلائے جائیں
Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring.
لَيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ اِلَّا مِنْ ضَرِيْعٍ6 
ان کے لیے کچھ کھانا نہیں مگر آگ کے کانٹے
There is no food for them except thorns of fire.
لَّا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِيْ مِنْ جُوْعٍ7 
کہ نہ فربہی لائیں اور نہ بھوک میں کام دیں
Which neither give strength nor satisfy the hunger.
وُجُوْهٌ يَّوْمَىِٕذٍ نَّاعِمَةٌ8 
کتنے ہی منہ اس دن چین میں ہیں
Many a face will be in serenity on that day.
لِّسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌ9 
اپنی کوشش پر راضی
Rejoicing over their efforts.
فِيْ جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ10 
بلند باغ میں
In a high Garden.
لَّا تَسْمَعُ فِيْهَا لَاغِيَةً11 
کہ اس میں کوئی بیہودہ بات نہ سنیں گے
In which they will not hear any lewd speech.
فِيْهَا عَيْنٌ جَارِيَةٌ12 
اس میں رواں چشمہ ہے
In it is a flowing spring.
فِيْهَا سُرُرٌ مَّرْفُوْعَةٌ13 
اس میں بلند تخت ہیں
In which are high thrones.
وَّاَكْوَابٌ مَّوْضُوْعَةٌ14 
اور چنے ہوئے کوزے
And chosen goblets.
وَّنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوْفَةٌ15 
اور برابر برابر بچھے ہوئے قالین
And arranged carpets.
وَّزَرَابِيُّ مَبْثُوْثَةٌ16 
اور پھیلی ہوئی چاندنیاں
And linen spread out.
اَفَلَا يَنْظُرُوْنَ اِلَى الْاِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ17 
تو کیا اونٹ کو نہیں دیکھتے کیسا بنایا گیا
So do they not see the camel – how it has been created?
وَاِلَى السَّمَاۗءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ18 
اور آسمان کو کیسا اونچا کیا گیا
And the heaven - how it has been raised?
وَاِلَى الْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ19 
اور پہاڑوں کو، کیسے قائم کیے گئے
And the mountains - how they have been established?
وَاِلَى الْاَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ20 
اور زمین کو، کیسے بچھائی گئی
And the earth - how it has been spread out?
فَذَكِّرْ ڜ اِنَّمَآ اَنْتَ مُذَكِّرٌ21 
تو تم نصیحت سناؤ تم تو یہی نصیحت سنانے والے ہو
Therefore advise; indeed you are a proclaimer of advice. (The Holy Prophet is a Remembrance from Allah.)
لَسْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِمُصَۜيْطِرٍ22 
تم کچھ ان پر کڑ وڑا (ضامن) نہیں
You are not at all a guardian over them.
اِلَّا مَنْ تَوَلّٰى وَكَفَرَ23 
ہاں جو منہ پھیرے اور کفر کرے
Except whoever turns away and disbelieves -
فَيُعَذِّبُهُ اللّٰهُ الْعَذَابَ الْاَكْبَرَ24 
تو اسے اللہ بڑا عذاب دے گا
So Allah will mete out to him the greatest punishment.
اِنَّ اِلَيْنَآ اِيَابَهُمْ25 
بیشک ہماری ہی طرف ان کا پھرنا
Indeed only towards Us is their return
ثُمَّ اِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُمْ ۧ26 
پھر بیشک ہماری ہی طرف ان کا حساب ہے
Then indeed only upon Us is their reckoning.
