اٰیاتہا 75
 The Spoils of War / Al Anfal (Recite)

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
اللہ کے نام سے شروع جو نہایت مہربان رحم والا
يَسْــــَٔـلُوْنَكَ عَنِ الْاَنْفَالِ ۭقُلِ الْاَنْفَالُ لِلّٰهِ وَالرَّسُوْلِ ۚ فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَصْلِحُوْا ذَاتَ بَيْنِكُمْ ۠ وَاَطِيْعُوا اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗٓ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُّؤْمِنِيْنَ1 
اے محبوب تم سے غنيمتوں کو پُوچھتے ہيں تم فرماؤ غنيمتوں کے مالک اللہ و رسول ہيں تو اللہ سے ڈرو اور اپنے آپس ميں ميل رکھو اور اللہ و رسول کا حکم مانو اگر ايمان رکھتے ہو
Like the ways of Firaun’s people and those before them; they denied the signs of Allah - We therefore destroyed them on account of their sins and We drowned the people of Firaun; and they all were unjust.
اِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ الَّذِيْنَ اِذَا ذُكِرَ اللّٰهُ وَجِلَتْ قُلُوْبُهُمْ وَاِذَا تُلِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ اٰيٰتُهٗ زَادَتْهُمْ اِيْمَانًا وَّعَلٰي رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُوْنَ2 
ايمان والے وہي ہيں کہ جب اللہ ياد کيا جائے ان کے دل ڈر جائيں اور جب اُن پر اس کي آيتيں پڑھي جائيں ان کا ايمان ترقي پائے اور اپنے رب ہي پر بھروسہ کريں
Indeed the worst beasts in the sight of Allah are the people who disbelieve and do not accept faith.
الَّذِيْنَ يُقِيْمُوْنَ الصَّلٰوةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنٰهُمْ يُنْفِقُوْنَ3 
وہ جو نماز قائم رکھيں اور ہمارے ديئے سے کچھ ہماري راہ ميں خرچ کريں
Those with whom you made a treaty, then they break their agreement each time and do not fear.
اُولٰۗىِٕكَ هُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ حَقًّا ۭلَهُمْ دَرَجٰتٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ وَّرِزْقٌ كَرِيْمٌ4 
يہي سچے مسلمان ہيں ان کے لئے درجے ہيں ان کے رب کے پاس اور بخشش ہے اور عزت کي روزي
So if you find them in battle, kill them in a manner which makes those behind them scamper back, in the hope that they may learn a lesson.
كَمَآ اَخْرَجَكَ رَبُّكَ مِنْۢ بَيْتِكَ بِالْحَقِّ ۠ وَاِنَّ فَرِيْقًا مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ لَكٰرِهُوْنَ5 
جس طرح اے محبوب تمہيں تمہارے رب نے تمہارے گھر سے حق کے ساتھ برآمد کيا اور بے شک مسلمانوں کا ايک گروہ اس پر ناخوش تھا
And if you apprehend treachery from a nation, then throw back their treaty towards them in reciprocity; indeed Allah does not like the treacherous.
يُجَادِلُوْنَكَ فِي الْحَقِّ بَعْدَمَا تَبَيَّنَ كَاَنَّمَا يُسَاقُوْنَ اِلَى الْمَوْتِ وَهُمْ يَنْظُرُوْنَ6 
سچي بات ميں تم سے جھگڑتے تھے بعد اس کے کہ ظاہر ہو چکي گويا وہ آنکھوں ديکھي موت کي طرف ہانکے جاتے ہيں
And never may the disbelievers pride that they have escaped; indeed they can never defeat.
وَاِذْ يَعِدُكُمُ اللّٰهُ اِحْدَى الطَّاۗىِٕفَتَيْنِ اَنَّهَا لَكُمْ وَتَوَدُّوْنَ اَنَّ غَيْرَ ذَاتِ الشَّوْكَةِ تَكُوْنُ لَكُمْ وَيُرِيْدُ اللّٰهُ اَنْ يُّحِقَّ الْحَقَّ بِكَلِمٰتِهٖ وَيَقْطَعَ دَابِرَ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ7 
اور ياد کرو جب اللہ نے تمہيں وعدہ ديا تھا کہ ان دونوں گروہوں ميں ايک تمہارے لئے ہے اور تم يہ چاہتے تھے کہ تمہيں وہ ملے جس ميں کانٹے کا کھٹکا نہيں اور اللہ يہ چاہتا تھا کہ اپنے کلام سے سچ کو سچ کر دکھائے اور کافروں کي جڑ کاٹ دے
And keep ready for them the maximum of forces you can and the maximum number of horses you can keep tethered, in order to instil awe in the hearts of those who are the enemies of Allah and who are your enemies, and in the hearts of some others whom you d
لِيُحِقَّ الْحَقَّ وَيُبْطِلَ الْبَاطِلَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ8 
کہ سچ کو سچ کرے اور جھوٹ کو جھوٹا پڑے برا مانيں مجرم
And if they incline towards peace, you too lean towards it, and trust Allah; indeed He only is the All Hearing, the All Knowing.
اِذْ تَسْتَغِيْثُوْنَ رَبَّكُمْ فَاسْتَجَابَ لَكُمْ اَنِّىْ مُمِدُّكُمْ بِاَلْفٍ مِّنَ الْمَلٰۗىِٕكَةِ مُرْدِفِيْنَ9 
جب تم اپنے رب سے فرياد کرتے تھے تو اس نے تمہاري سن لي کہ ميں تمہيں مدد دينے والا ہوں ہزار فرشتوں کي قطار سے
And if they wish to deceive you, then indeed Allah is Sufficient for you; it is He Who has given you strength, with His help and with the Muslims.
وَمَا جَعَلَهُ اللّٰهُ اِلَّا بُشْرٰي وَلِتَطْمَىِٕنَّ بِهٖ قُلُوْبُكُمْ ۭوَمَا النَّصْرُ اِلَّامِنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِ ۭاِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَزِيْزٌ حَكِيْمٌ   ۧ10 
اور يہ تو اللہ نے کيا مگر تمہاري خوشي کو اور اس لئے کہ تمہارے دل چين پائيں اور مدد نہيں مگر اللہ کي طرف سے بے شک اللہ غالب حکمت والا ہے
And has created harmony among their hearts; if you had spent all that is in the earth you could not have created harmony among their hearts, but Allah has created harmony among them; indeed He only is Almighty, Wise.
اِذْ يُغَشِّيْكُمُ النُّعَاسَ اَمَنَةً مِّنْهُ وَيُنَزِّلُ عَلَيْكُمْ مِّنَ السَّمَاۗءِ مَاۗءً لِّيُطَهِّرَكُمْ بِهٖ وَيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمْ رِجْزَ الشَّيْطٰنِ وَلِيَرْبِطَ عَلٰي قُلُوْبِكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتَ بِهِ الْاَقْدَامَ11 
جب اس نے تمہيں اونگھ سے گھير ديا تو اس کي طرف سے چين تھي اور آسمان سے تم پر پاني اتارا کہ تمہيں اس سے ستھرا کر دے اور شيطان کي ناپاکي تم سے دور فرما دے اور تمہارے دلوں کو ڈھارس بندھائے اور اس سے تمہارے قدم جما دے
O Herald of the Hidden! Allah is Sufficient for you and for all these Muslims who follow you.
اِذْ يُوْحِيْ رَبُّكَ اِلَى الْمَلٰۗىِٕكَةِ اَنِّىْ مَعَكُمْ فَثَبِّتُوا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا ۭسَاُلْقِيْ فِيْ قُلُوْبِ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا الرُّعْبَ فَاضْرِبُوْا فَوْقَ الْاَعْنَاقِ وَاضْرِبُوْا مِنْهُمْ كُلَّ بَنَانٍ12 
جب اے محبوب تمہارا رب فرشتوں کو وحي بھيجتا تھا کہ ميں تمہارے ساتھ ہوں تم مسلمانوں کو ثابت رکھو عنقريب ميں کافروں کے دلوں ميں ہيبت ڈالوں گا تو کافروں کي گردنوں سے اوپر مارو اور ان کي ايک ايک پور پر ضرب لگاؤ
O Herald of the Hidden! Urge the believers to fight; if there are twenty persevering men among you, they shall overcome two hundred; and if there are a hundred among you, they shall overcome a thousand disbelievers because the disbelievers are a people w
ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمْ شَاۗقُّوا اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ ۚ وَمَنْ يُّشَاقِقِ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ شَدِيْدُ الْعِقَابِ13 
يہ اس لئے کہ انہوں نے اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے مخالفت کي اور جو اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے مخالفت کرے تو بے شک اللہ کا عذاب سخت ہے
So now Allah has made an ease upon you and He knows that you are weak; so if there are a hundred persevering men among you, they shall overcome two hundred; and if there are a thousand among you, they shall overcome two thousand by the command of Allah;
ذٰلِكُمْ فَذُوْقُوْهُ وَاَنَّ لِلْكٰفِرِيْنَ عَذَابَ النَّارِ14 
يہ تو چکھو اور اس کے ساتھ يہ ہے کہ کافروں کو آگ کا عذاب ہے
It does not befit any Prophet to capture the disbelievers alive until he has profusely shed their blood in the land; you people desire the wealth of this world; and Allah wills the Hereafter, and Allah is Almighty, Wise.
يٰٓاَيُّھَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْٓا اِذَا لَقِيْتُمُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا زَحْفًا فَلَا تُوَلُّوْهُمُ الْاَدْبَارَ15 
اے ايمان والو جب کافروں کے لام سے تمہارا مقابلہ ہو تو انہيں پيٹھ نہ دو
Had Allah not pre-destined a matter then, O Muslims, a terrible punishment would have come upon you due to the ransom you took from the disbelievers.
وَمَنْ يُّوَلِّهِمْ يَوْمَىِٕذٍ دُبُرَهٗٓ اِلَّا مُتَحَرِّفًا لِّقِتَالٍ اَوْ مُتَحَيِّزًا اِلٰي فِئَةٍ فَقَدْ بَاۗءَ بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَمَاْوٰىهُ جَهَنَّمُ ۭوَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيْرُ16 
اور جو اس دن انہيں پيٹھ دے گا مگر لڑائي کا ہنر کرنے يا اپني جماعت ميں جا ملنے کو تو وہ اللہ کے غضب ميں پلٹا اور اس کا ٹھکانا دوزخ ہے اور کيا بري جگہ ہے پلٹنے کي
Therefore benefit from the booty you have received, lawful and good; and keep fearing Allah; indeed Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.
فَلَمْ تَقْتُلُوْهُمْ وَلٰكِنَّ اللّٰهَ قَتَلَهُمْ ۠ وَمَا رَمَيْتَ اِذْ رَمَيْتَ وَلٰكِنَّ اللّٰهَ رَمٰى ۚ وَلِيُبْلِيَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ مِنْهُ بَلَاۗءً حَسَـنًا ۭاِنَّ اللّٰهَ سَمِيْعٌ عَلِيْمٌ17 
تو تم نے انہيں قتل نہ کيا بلکہ اللہ نے انہيں قتل کيا اور اے محبوب وہ خاک جو تم نے پھينکي تم نے نہ پھينکي تھي بلکہ اللہ نے پھينکي اور اس لئے کہ مسلمانوں کو اس سے اچھا انعام عطا فرمائے بے شک اللہ سنتا جانتا ہے
O Herald of the Hidden! Say to the captives whom you possess, “If Allah finds any goodness in your hearts, He will give you better than what has been taken away from you, and will forgive you; and Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
ذٰلِكُمْ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ مُوْهِنُ كَيْدِ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ18 
يہ تو لو اور اس کے ساتھ يہ ہے کہ اللہ کافروں کا داؤں سست کرنے والا ہے
And if they wish to deceive you, they have already been disloyal to Allah, because of which He has given these disbelievers in your control; and Allah is All Knowing, Wise.
اِنْ تَسـْتَفْتِحُوْا فَقَدْ جَاۗءَكُمُ الْفَتْحُ ۚ وَاِنْ تَنْتَهُوْا فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ ۚ وَاِنْ تَعُوْدُوْا نَعُدْ ۚ وَلَنْ تُغْنِيَ عَنْكُمْ فِئَتُكُمْ شَـيْــــًٔـا وَّلَوْ كَثُرَتْ ۙ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ مَعَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ19 
اے کافرو اگر تم فيصلہ مانگتے ہو تو يہ فيصلہ تم پر آ چکا اور اگر باز آؤ تو تمہارا بھلا ہے اور اگر تم پھر شرارت کرو تو ہم پھر سزا ديں گے اور تمہارا جتھا تمہيں کچھ کام نہ دے گا چاہے کتنا ہي بہت ہو اور اس کے ساتھ يہ ہے کہ اللہ مسلمانوں کے ساتھ ہے
Indeed those who accepted faith and left their homes and belongings for Allah, and fought with their wealth and their lives in Allah's cause, and those who gave shelter and provided help, are the heirs of one another; and those who believed but did not l
يٰٓاَيُّھَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْٓا اَطِيْعُوا اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ وَلَا تَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ وَاَنْتُمْ تَسْمَعُوْنَ   ۧ20 
اے ايمان والو اللہ اور اس کے رسول کا حکم مانو اور سن سنا کر اسے نہ پھرو
And the disbelievers are the heirs of one another - if you do not do so, there will be turmoil in the land and a great chaos.
وَلَا تَكُوْنُوْا كَالَّذِيْنَ قَالُوْا سَمِعْنَا وَهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُوْنَ21 
اور ان جيسے نہ ہونا جنہوں نے کہا ہم نے سنا اور وہ نہيں سنتے
And those who believed and migrated and fought in Allah's cause, and those who gave shelter and provided help - it is they who are the true believers; for them is pardon, and an honourable sustenance.
اِنَّ شَرَّ الدَّوَاۗبِّ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ الصُّمُّ الْبُكْمُ الَّذِيْنَ لَا يَعْقِلُوْنَ22 
بے شک سب جانوروں ميں بد تر اللہ کے نزديک وہ ہيں جو بہرے گونگے ہيں جن کو عقل نہيں
And those who afterwards believed and migrated and fought along with you - they too are from among you; and family members (blood relations) are nearer to one another in the Book of Allah; indeed Allah knows everything.
وَلَوْ عَلِمَ اللّٰهُ فِيْهِمْ خَيْرًا لَّاَسْمَعَهُمْ ۭوَلَوْ اَسْمَعَهُمْ لَتَوَلَّوْا وَّهُمْ مُّعْرِضُوْنَ23 
اور اگر اللہ ان ميں کچھ بھلائي جانتا تو انہيں سنا ديتا اور اگر سنا ديتا جب بھي انجام کار منھ پھير کر پلٹ جاتے
Severance of ties is proclaimed by Allah and on behalf of His Noble Messenger, towards the polytheists with whom you had a treaty.
يٰٓاَيُّھَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوا اسْتَجِيْبُوْا لِلّٰهِ وَلِلرَّسُوْلِ اِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيْكُمْ ۚ وَاعْلَمُوْٓا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ يَحُوْلُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَقَلْبِهٖ وَاَنَّهٗٓ اِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُوْنَ24 
اے ايمان والو اللہ اور اس کے رسول کے بلانے پر حاضر ہو جب رسول تمہيں اس چيز کے لئے بلائيں جو تمہيں زندگي بخشے گي اور جان لو کہ اللہ کا حکم آدمي اور اس کے دلي ارادوں ميں حائل ہو جاتا ہے اور يہ کہ تمہيں اسي کي طرف اٹھنا ہے
Travel freely in the land for four months, and bear in mind that you cannot escape from Allah, and that Allah will humiliate the disbelievers.
وَاتَّقُوْا فِتْنَةً لَّا تُصِيْبَنَّ الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْا مِنْكُمْ خَاۗصَّةً ۚوَاعْلَمُوْٓا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ شَدِيْدُ الْعِقَابِ25 
اور اس فتنہ سے ڈرتے رہو جو ہرگز تم ميں خاص ظالموں ہي کو نہ پہنچے گا اور جان لو کہ اللہ کا عذاب سخت ہے
And proclaim from Allah and His Noble Messenger to all men on the day of the Great Pilgrimage (Haj) that Allah is disgusted with the polytheists, and so is His Noble Messenger; so if you repent it is better for you; but if you turn away, then know that y
وَاذْكُرُوْٓا اِذْ اَنْتُمْ قَلِيْلٌ مُّسْتَضْعَفُوْنَ فِي الْاَرْضِ تَخَافُوْنَ اَنْ يَّتَخَطَّفَكُمُ النَّاسُ فَاٰوٰىكُمْ وَاَيَّدَكُمْ بِنَصْرِهٖ وَرَزَقَكُمْ مِّنَ الطَّيِّبٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُوْنَ26 
اور ياد کرو جب تم تھوڑے تھے ملک ميں دبے ہوئے ڈرتے تھے کہ کہيں لوگ تمہيں اُچک نہ لے جائيں تو اس نے تمہيں جگہ دي اور اپني مدد سے زور ديا اور ستھري چيزيں تمہيں روزي ديں کہ کہيں تم احسان مانو
Other than those polytheists with whom you had a treaty, and they have not diminished anything from your treaty nor supported anyone against you - therefore fulfil their treaty up to the appointed term; indeed Allah befriends the pious.
يٰٓاَيُّھَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لَا تَخُوْنُوا اللّٰهَ وَالرَّسُوْلَ وَتَخُوْنُوْٓا اَمٰنٰتِكُمْ وَاَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ27 
اے ايمان والو اللہ و رسول سے دغا نہ کرو اور نہ اپني امانتوں ميں دانستہ خيانت
Then when the sacred months have passed, slay the polytheists wherever you find them, and catch them and make them captive, and wait in ambush for them at every place; then if they repent and keep the prayer established and pay the charity, leave their w
وَاعْلَمُوْٓا اَنَّمَآ اَمْوَالُكُمْ وَاَوْلَادُكُمْ فِتْنَةٌ ۙ وَّاَنَّ اللّٰهَ عِنْدَهٗٓ اَجْرٌ عَظِيْمٌ   ۧ28 
اور جان رکھو کہ تمہارے مال اور تمہاري اولاد سب فتنہ ہے اور اللہ کے پاس بڑا ثواب ہے
And O dear Prophet (Mohammed - peace and blessings be upon him), if a polytheist seeks your protection, give him protection so that he may hear the Word of Allah, and then transport him to his place of safety; this is because they are an unwise people.
يٰٓاَيُّھَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْٓا اِنْ تَتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ يَجْعَلْ لَّكُمْ فُرْقَانًا وَّيُكَفِّرْ عَنْكُمْ سَيِّاٰتِكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ۭ وَاللّٰهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيْمِ29 
اے ايمان والو اگر اللہ سے ڈرو گے تو تمہيں وہ دے گا جس سے حق کو باطل سے جدا کر لو اور تمہاري برائياں اتار دے گا اور تمہيں بخش دے گا اور اللہ بڑے فضل والا ہے
How can there be a treaty with Allah and with His Noble Messenger for the polytheists, except for those with whom you made a treaty near the Sacred Mosque? So as long as they remain firm on the treaty for you, you too remain firm for them; indeed Allah i
وَاِذْ يَمْكُرُ بِكَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لِيُثْبِتُوْكَ اَوْ يَقْتُلُوْكَ اَوْ يُخْرِجُوْكَ ۭوَيَمْكُرُوْنَ وَيَمْكُرُ اللّٰهُ ۭوَاللّٰهُ خَيْرُ الْمٰكِرِيْنَ30 
اور اے محبوب ياد کرو جب کافر تمہارے ساتھ مَکر کرتے تھے کہ تمہيں بند کر ليں يا شہيد کر ديں يا نکال ديں اور وہ اپنا سا مَکر کرتے تھے اور اللہ اپني خفيہ تدبير فرماتا تھا اور اللہ کي خفيہ تدبير سب سے بہتر
Therefore how - when they are such that if they gain control over you, they would not have regard for any relations nor for any treaty? They please you with their mouths whereas their hearts contain rejection; and most of them are disobedient.
وَاِذَا تُتْلٰى عَلَيْهِمْ اٰيٰتُنَا قَالُوْا قَدْ سَمِعْنَا لَوْ نَشَاۗءُ لَقُلْنَا مِثْلَ هٰذَآ ۙ اِنْ هٰذَآ اِلَّآ اَسَاطِيْرُ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ31 
اور جب ان پر ہماري آيتيں پڑھي جائيں تو کہتے ہيں ہاں ہم نے سنا ہم چاہتے تو ايسي ہم بھي کہہ ديتے يہ تو نہيں مگر اگلوں کے قصّے
They exchanged the verses of Allah for an abject price, therefore prevented from His way; indeed what they do is extremely evil.
وَاِذْ قَالُوا اللّٰهُمَّ اِنْ كَانَ هٰذَا هُوَ الْحَقَّ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ فَاَمْطِرْ عَلَيْنَا حِجَارَةً مِّنَ السَّمَاۗءِ اَوِ ائْتِنَا بِعَذَابٍ اَلِيْمٍ32 
اور جب بولے کہ اے اللہ اگر يہي تيري طرف سے حق ہے تو ہم پر آسمان سے پتھر برسا يا کوئي دردناک عذاب ہم پر لا
In respect of the Muslims, they do not keep regard for any relations nor any pacts; it is they who are the rebels.
وَمَا كَانَ اللّٰهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَاَنْتَ فِيْهِمْ ۭ وَمَا كَانَ اللّٰهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُوْنَ33 
اور اللہ کا کام نہيں کہ انہيں عذاب کرے جب تک اے محبوب تم ان ميں تشريف فرما ہو اور اللہ انہيں عذاب کرنے والا نہيں جب تک وہ بخشش مانگ رہے ہيں
Then if they repent and keep the prayer established and pay the charity, they are your brothers in religion; and we explain Our verses in detail for the people of knowledge.
وَمَا لَهُمْ اَلَّا يُعَذِّبَهُمُ اللّٰهُ وَهُمْ يَصُدُّوْنَ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَمَا كَانُوْٓا اَوْلِيَاۗءَهٗ ۭاِنْ اَوْلِيَاۗؤُهٗٓ اِلَّا الْمُتَّقُوْنَ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ34 
اور انہيں کيا ہے کہ اللہ انہيں عذاب نہ کرے وہ تو مسجد حرام سے روک رہے ہيں اور وہ اس کے اہل نہيں اس کے اولياء تو پرہيزگار ہي ہيں مگر ان ميں اکثر کو علم نہيں
And if they break their promises after making a treaty and malign your religion, then fight the leaders of disbelief - indeed their promises are nothing - in the hope that they may desist.
وَمَا كَانَ صَلَاتُهُمْ عِنْدَ الْبَيْتِ اِلَّا مُكَاۗءً وَّتَصْدِيَةً ۭ فَذُوْقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْفُرُوْنَ35 
اور کعبہ کے پاس ان کي نماز نہيں مگر سيٹي اور تالي تو اب عذاب چکھو بدلہ اپنے کفر کا
Will you not fight the people who broke their promises, and intended to expel the Noble Messenger whereas they had started it? Do you fear them? So Allah has more right that you should fear Him, if you have faith.
اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا يُنْفِقُوْنَ اَمْوَالَهُمْ لِيَصُدُّوْا عَنْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ ۭفَسَيُنْفِقُوْنَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُوْنُ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسْرَةً ثُمَّ يُغْلَبُوْنَ ڛ وَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْٓا اِلٰى جَهَنَّمَ يُحْشَرُوْنَ36 
بے شک کافر اپنے مال خرچ کرتے ہيں کہ اللہ کي راہ سے روکيں تو اب انہيں خرچ کريں گے پھر وہ ان پر پچھتاوا ہوں گے پھر مغلوب کر ديئے جائيں گے اور کافروں کا حشر جہنّم کي طرف ہو گا
So fight them - Allah will punish them at your hands, and He will disgrace them and assist you over them, and He will soothe the hearts of the believers.
لِيَمِيْزَ اللّٰهُ الْخَبِيْثَ مِنَ الطَّيِّبِ وَيَجْعَلَ الْخَبِيْثَ بَعْضَهٗ عَلٰي بَعْضٍ فَيَرْكُمَهٗ جَمِيْعًا فَيَجْعَلَهٗ فِيْ جَهَنَّمَ ۭ اُولٰۗىِٕكَ هُمُ الْخٰسِرُوْنَ   ۧ37 
اس لئے کہ اللہ گندے کو ستھرے سے جدا فرما دے اور نجاستوں کو تلے اُوپر رکھ کر سب ايک ڈھير بنا کر جہنّم ميں ڈال دے وہي نقصان پانے والے ہيں
And He will remove the anxiety of their hearts; and Allah may accept the repentance of whomever He wills; and Allah is All Knowing, Wise.
قُلْ لِّلَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْٓا اِنْ يَّنْتَهُوْا يُغْفَرْ لَهُمْ مَّا قَدْ سَلَفَ ۚ وَاِنْ يَّعُوْدُوْا فَقَدْ مَضَتْ سُنَّةُ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ38 
تم کافروں سے فرماؤ اگر وہ باز رہے تو جو ہو گزرا وہ انہيں معاف فرما ديا جائے گا اور اگر پھر وہي کريں تو اگلوں کا دستور گزر چکا ہے
Are you under the illusion that you would be left just like this, whereas Allah has not yet made known those of you who will fight and not confide their secrets with anyone except Allah and His Noble Messenger and the Muslims? And Allah is Well Aware of
وَقَاتِلُوْهُمْ حَتّٰي لَا تَكُوْنَ فِتْنَةٌ وَّيَكُوْنَ الدِّيْنُ كُلُّهٗ لِلّٰهِ ۚ فَاِنِ انْتَهَـوْا فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِمَا يَعْمَلُوْنَ بَصِيْرٌ39 
اور اگر ان سے لڑو يہاں تک کہ کوئي فساد باقي نہ رہے اور سارا دين اللہ ہي کا ہو جائے پھر اگر وہ باز رہيں تو اللہ ان کے کام ديکھ رہا ہے
It does not befit the polytheists to assemble in Allah’s mosques after themselves bearing witness of their disbelief; in fact all their deeds are wasted; and they will remain in the fire forever.
وَاِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَاعْلَمُوْٓا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ مَوْلٰىكُمْ ۭنِعْمَ الْمَوْلٰى وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيْرُ40 
اور اگر وہ پھريں تو جان لو کہ اللہ تمہارا مول?ي ہے تو کيا ہي اچھا مول?ي اور کيا ہي اچھا مددگار
Only those enliven the mosques of Allah who believe in Allah and the Last Day and establish prayer and pay the obligatory charity and fear none except Allah - so it is likely that they will be among the people of guidance.
وَاعْلَمُوْٓا اَنَّـمَا غَنِمْتُمْ مِّنْ شَيْءٍ فَاَنَّ لِلّٰهِ خُمُسَهٗ وَلِلرَّسُوْلِ وَلِذِي الْقُرْبٰي وَالْيَتٰمٰي وَالْمَسٰكِيْنِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيْلِ ۙ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ اٰمَنْتُمْ بِاللّٰهِ وَمَآ اَنْزَلْنَا عَلٰي عَبْدِنَا يَوْمَ الْفُرْقَانِ يَوْمَ الْتَقَى الْجَمْعٰنِ ۭوَاللّٰهُ عَلٰي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ41 
اور جان لو کہ جو کچھ غنيمت لو تو اس کا پانچواں حصہ خاص اللہ اور رسول و قرابت والوں اور يتيموں اور محتاجوں اور مسافروں کا ہے اگر تم ايمان لائے ہو اللہ پر اور اس پر جو ہم نے اپنے بندے پر فيصلہ کے دن اتارا جس دن دونوں فوجيں مليں تھيں اور ال
So have they taken the quenching of the pilgrims’ thirst and servicing of the Sacred Mosque as equal (in merit) to him who accepted faith in Allah and the Last Day, and fought in Allah’s way? They are not equal before Allah; and Allah does not guide the
اِذْ اَنْتُمْ بِالْعُدْوَةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ بِالْعُدْوَةِ الْقُصْوٰي وَالرَّكْبُ اَسْفَلَ مِنْكُمْ ۭوَلَوْ تَوَاعَدْتُّمْ لَاخْتَلَفْتُمْ فِي الْمِيْعٰدِ ۙ وَلٰكِنْ لِّيَقْضِيَ اللّٰهُ اَمْرًا كَانَ مَفْعُوْلًا ڏ لِّيَهْلِكَ مَنْ هَلَكَ عَنْۢ بَيِّنَةٍ وَّيَحْيٰي مَنْ حَيَّ عَنْۢ بَيِّنَةٍ ۭ وَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَسَمِيْعٌ عَلِيْمٌ42 
جب تم نالے کے اس کنارے تھے اور کافر پرلے کنارے اور قافلہ تم سے ترائي ميں اور اگر تم آپس ميں کوئي وعدہ کرتے تو ضرور وقت پر برابر نہ پہنچتے ليکن يہ اس لئے کہ اللہ پورا کرے جو کام ہونا ہے کہ جو ہلاک ہو دليل سے ہلاک ہو اور
Those who accepted faith, and left their homes and fought with their wealth and their lives in Allah’s way have a greater rank before Allah; and it is they who have succeeded.
اِذْ يُرِيْكَهُمُ اللّٰهُ فِيْ مَنَامِكَ قَلِيْلًا ۭوَلَوْ اَرٰىكَهُمْ كَثِيْرًا لَّفَشِلْتُمْ وَلَتَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي الْاَمْرِ وَلٰكِنَّ اللّٰهَ سَلَّمَ ۭ اِنَّهٗ عَلِيْمٌۢ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُوْرِ43 
جب کہ اے محبوب اللہ تمہيں کافروں کو تمہاري خواب ميں تھوڑا دکھاتا تھا اور اے مسلمانو اگر وہ تمہيں بہت کر کے دکھاتا تو ضرور تم بزدلي کرتے اور معاملہ ميں جھگڑا ڈالتے مگر اللہ نے بچا ليا بيشک وہ دلوں کي بات جانتا ہے
Their Lord gives them the glad tidings of His mercy and His pleasure, and the Gardens in which are everlasting favours for them.
وَاِذْ يُرِيْكُمُوْهُمْ اِذِ الْتَقَيْتُمْ فِيْٓ اَعْيُنِكُمْ قَلِيْلًا وَّ يُقَلِّلُكُمْ فِيْٓ اَعْيُنِهِمْ لِيَقْضِيَ اللّٰهُ اَمْرًا كَانَ مَفْعُوْلًا ۭوَاِلَى اللّٰهِ تُرْجَعُ الْاُمُوْرُ   ۧ44 
اور جب لڑتے وقت تمہيں کافر تھوڑے کر کے دکھائے اور تمہيں ان کي نگاہوں ميں تھوڑا کيا کہ اللہ پورا کرے جو کام ہونا ہے اور اللہ کي طرف سب کاموں کي رجوع ہے
They will abide in it for ever and ever; indeed with Allah is the great reward.
يٰٓاَيُّھَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْٓا اِذَا لَقِيْتُمْ فِئَةً فَاثْبُتُوْا وَاذْكُرُوا اللّٰهَ كَثِيْرًا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُوْنَ45 
اے ايمان والو جب کسي فوج سے تمہارا مقابلہ ہو تو ثابت قدم رہو اور اللہ کي ياد بہت کرو کہ تم مراد کو پہنچو
O People who Believe! Do not consider your fathers and your brothers as your friends if they prefer disbelief over faith; and whoever among you befriends them - then it is he who is the unjust.
وَاَطِيْعُوا اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ وَلَا تَنَازَعُوْا فَتَفْشَلُوْا وَتَذْهَبَ رِيْحُكُمْ وَاصْبِرُوْا ۭ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ مَعَ الصّٰبِرِيْنَ46 
اور اللہ اور اس کے رسول کا حکم مانو اور آپس ميں جھگڑو نہيں کہ پھر بزدلي کرو گے اور تمہاري بندھي ہوئي ہوا جاتي رہے گي اور صبر کرو بيشک اللہ صبر والوں کے ساتھ ہے
" Say, ""If your fathers, and your sons, and your brothers, and your wives, and your tribe, and your acquired wealth, and the trade in which you fear a loss, and the houses of your liking - if all these are dearer to you than Allah and His Noble Messenger
وَلَا تَكُوْنُوْا كَالَّذِيْنَ خَرَجُوْا مِنْ دِيَارِهِمْ بَطَرًا وَّرِئَاۗءَ النَّاسِ وَيَصُدُّوْنَ عَنْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ ۭوَاللّٰهُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُوْنَ مُحِيْطٌ47 
اور ان جيسے نہ ہونا جو اپنے گھر سے نکلے اتراتے اور لوگوں کے دکھانے کو اور اللہ کي راہ سے روکتے اور ان کے سب کام اللہ کے قابو ميں ہيں
Indeed Allah helped you on many occasions - and on the day of Huneyn - when you prided in your multitude, so it did not benefit you at all, and the earth despite being vast became restricted for you - then you turned back and returned.
وَاِذْ زَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطٰنُ اَعْمَالَهُمْ وَقَالَ لَا غَالِبَ لَكُمُ الْيَوْمَ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَاِنِّىْ جَارٌ لَّكُمْ ۚ فَلَمَّا تَرَاۗءَتِ الْفِئَتٰنِ نَكَصَ عَلٰي عَقِبَيْهِ وَقَالَ اِنِّىْ بَرِيْۗءٌ مِّنْكُمْ اِنِّىْٓ اَرٰي مَا لَا تَرَوْنَ اِنِّىْٓ اَخَافُ اللّٰهَ ۭوَاللّٰهُ شَدِيْدُ الْعِقَابِ   ۧ48 
اور جب کہ شيطان نے ان کي نگاہ ميں ان کے کام بھلے کر دکھائے اور بولا آج تم پر کوئي شخص غالب آنے والا نہيں اور تم ميري پناہ ميں ہو تو جب دونوں لشکر آمنے سامنے ہوئے الٹے پاؤں بھاگا اور بولا ميں تم سے الگ ہوں ميں وہ ديکھتا ہوں جو تمہيں نظر نہيں آت
Then Allah sent down His calm upon His Noble Messenger and upon the Muslims, and sent down armies you did not see, and punished the disbelievers; and such is the reward of the deniers.
اِذْ يَقُوْلُ الْمُنٰفِقُوْنَ وَالَّذِيْنَ فِيْ قُلُوْبِهِمْ مَّرَضٌ غَرَّ ھٰٓؤُلَاۗءِ دِيْنُهُمْ ۭوَمَنْ يَّتَوَكَّلْ عَلَي اللّٰهِ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَزِيْزٌ حَكِيْمٌ49 
جب کہتے تھے منافق اور وہ جن کے دلوں ميں آزار ہے کہ يہ مسلمان اپنے دين پر مغرور ہيں اور جو اللہ پر بھروسہ کرے تو بيشک اللہ غالب حکمت والا ہے
Then afterwards Allah will give repentance to whomever He wills; and Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.
وَلَوْ تَرٰٓي اِذْ يَتَوَفَّى الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا ۙ الْمَلٰۗىِٕكَةُ يَضْرِبُوْنَ وُجُوْهَهُمْ وَاَدْبَارَهُمْ ۚ وَذُوْقُوْا عَذَابَ الْحَرِيْقِ50 
اور کبھي تو ديکھے جب فرشتے کافروں کي جان نکالتے ہيں مار رہے ہيں ان کے منھ پر اور ان کي پيٹھ پر اور چکھو آگ کا عذاب
O People who Believe! The polytheists are utterly filthy *; so after this year do not let them come near the Sacred Mosque; and if you fear poverty **, then Allah will soon make you wealthy with His grace, if He wills; indeed Allah is All Knowing, Wise.
ذٰلِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ اَيْدِيْكُمْ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ لَيْسَ بِظَلَّامٍ لِّلْعَبِيْدِ51 
يہ بدلہ ہے اس کا جو تمہارے ہاتھوں نے آگے بھيجا اور اللہ بندوں پر ظلم نہيں کرتا
Fight against the People given the Book(s) who do not accept faith in Allah and the Last Day, and who do not treat as forbidden what is forbidden by Allah and by His Noble Messenger, and who do not follow the true religion, until they pay the tariff with
كَدَاْبِ اٰلِ فِرْعَوْنَ ۙ وَالَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۭكَفَرُوْا بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ فَاَخَذَهُمُ اللّٰهُ بِذُنُوْبِهِمْ ۭ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ قَوِيٌّ شَدِيْدُ الْعِقَابِ52 
جيسے فرعون والوں اور ان سے اگلوں کا دستور وہ اللہ کي آيتوں سے منکِر ہوئے تو اللہ نے انہيں ان کے گناہوں پر پکڑا بيشک اللہ قوّت والا سخت عذاب والا ہے
" And the Jews said, ""Uzair is the son of Allah"", and the Christians said ""The Messiah is the son of Allah""; they utter this from their own mouths; they speak like the former disbelievers; may Allah kill them; where are they reverting! "
ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّ اللّٰهَ لَمْ يَكُ مُغَيِّرًا نِّعْمَةً اَنْعَمَهَا عَلٰي قَوْمٍ حَتّٰي يُغَيِّرُوْا مَا بِاَنْفُسِهِمْ ۙ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ سَمِيْعٌ عَلِيْمٌ53 
يہ اس لئے کہ اللہ کسي قوم سے جو نعمت انہيں دي تھي بدلتا نہيں جب تک وہ خود نہ بدل جائيں اور بيشک اللہ سنتا جانتا ہے
They have taken their rabbis and their monks as Gods besides Allah and (also) Messiah the son of Maryam; and they were not commanded except to worship only One God - Allah; none is worthy of worship except Him; Purity is to Him from all that they ascribe
كَدَاْبِ اٰلِ فِرْعَوْنَ ۙ وَالَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۭ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ فَاَهْلَكْنٰهُمْ بِذُنُوْبِهِمْ وَاَغْرَقْنَآ اٰلَ فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ وَكُلٌّ كَانُوْا ظٰلِمِيْنَ54 
جيسے فرعون والوں اور ان سے اگلوں کا دستور انہوں نے اپنے رب کي آيتيں جھٹلائيں تو ہم نے اُن کو اُن کے گناہوں کے سبب ہلاک کيا اور ہم نے فرعون والوں کو ڈبو ديا اور وہ سب ظالم تھے
They wish to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will not agree except that He will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers get annoyed.
اِنَّ شَرَّ الدَّوَاۗبِّ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ55 
بيشک سب جانوروں ميں بد تر اللہ کے نزديک وہ ہيں جنہوں نے کفر کيا اور ايمان نہيں لاتے
It is He Who has sent His Noble Messenger with guidance and the true religion, in order to prevail over all other religions - even if the polytheists get annoyed.
اَلَّذِيْنَ عٰهَدْتَّ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ يَنْقُضُوْنَ عَهْدَهُمْ فِيْ كُلِّ مَرَّةٍ وَّهُمْ لَا يَتَّقُوْنَ56 
وہ جن سے تم نے معاہدہ کيا تھا پھر ہر بار اپنا عہد توڑ ديتے ہيں اور ڈرتے نہيں
O People who Believe! Indeed many of the (Jewish) rabbis and the (Christian) monks unjustly devour people's wealth and prevent from Allah’s way; and those who hoard up gold and silver and do not spend it in Allah’s way - so them give the glad tidings of
فَاِمَّا تَثْقَفَنَّهُمْ فِي الْحَرْبِ فَشَرِّدْ بِهِمْ مَّنْ خَلْفَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُوْنَ57 
تو اگر تم کہيں انہيں لڑائي ميں پاؤ تو انہيں ايسا قتل کرو جس سے ان کے پسماندوں کو بھگاؤ اس اميد پر کہ شايد انہيں عبرت ہو
" The day when it will be heated in the fire of hell, and their foreheads and their sides and their backs will be branded with them; ""Here is what you hoarded for yourselves; so now taste the joy of your hoarding!"" "
وَاِمَّا تَخَافَنَّ مِنْ قَوْمٍ خِيَانَةً فَانْۢبِذْ اِلَيْهِمْ عَلٰي سَوَاۗءٍ ۭ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْخَاۗىِٕنِيْنَ   ۧ58 
اور اگر تم کسي قوم سے دغا کا انديشہ کرو تو ان کا عہد ان کي طرف پھينک دو برابري پر بيشک دغا والے اللہ کو پسند نہيں
Indeed the number of months before Allah is twelve - in the Book of Allah - since the day He created the heavens and the earth, of which four are sacred; this the straight religion; so do not wrong yourselves in those months; and constantly fight against
وَلَا يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا سَبَقُوْا ۭ اِنَّهُمْ لَا يُعْجِزُوْنَ59 
اور ہرگز کافر اس گھمنڈ ميں نہ رہيں کہ وہ ہاتھ سے نکل گئے بيشک وہ عاجز نہيں کرتے
Their postponing of the months is nothing but furtherance in disbelief - the disbelievers are misled by it - they decree it lawful in one year and regard it forbidden in another year, in order to equate to the number of the months which Allah has made sa
وَاَعِدُّوْا لَهُمْ مَّا اسْـتَـطَعْتُمْ مِّنْ قُوَّةٍ وَّمِنْ رِّبَاطِ الْخَيْلِ تُرْهِبُوْنَ بِهٖ عَدُوَّ اللّٰهِ وَعَدُوَّكُمْ وَاٰخَرِيْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِهِمْ ۚ لَا تَعْلَمُوْنَهُمْ ۚ اَللّٰهُ يَعْلَمُهُمْ ۭوَمَا تُنْفِقُوْا مِنْ شَيْءٍ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ يُوَفَّ اِلَيْكُمْ وَاَنْتُمْ لَا تُظْلَمُوْنَ60 
اور ان کے لئے تيار رکھو جو قوّت تمہيں بن پڑے اور جتنے گھوڑے باندھ سکو کہ ان سے کہ ان کے دلوں ميں دھاک بٹھاؤ جو اللہ کے دشمن اور تمھارے دشمن ہيں اور ان کے سوا کچھ اوروں کے دلوں ميں جنہيں تم نہيں جانتے اللہ انہيں جانتا ہے اور اللہ کي را
" O People who Believe! What is the matter with you, that when it is said to you, ""Migrate in Allah's cause"", you sit on the ground with heaviness? Have you preferred this worldly life over the Hereafter? And the wealth of the life of this world, in com
وَاِنْ جَنَحُوْا لِلسَّلْمِ فَاجْنَحْ لَهَا وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَي اللّٰهِ ۭاِنَّهٗ هُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْعَلِيْمُ61 
اور اگر وہ صلح کي طرف جھکيں تو تم بھي جھکو اور اللہ پر بھروسہ رکھو بيشک وہي ہے سنتا جانتا
If you do not migrate, He will afflict you with a painful punishment and bring other people in your stead and you will not be able to harm Him in the least; and Allah is Able to do all things.
وَاِنْ يُّرِيْدُوْٓا اَنْ يَّخْدَعُوْكَ فَاِنَّ حَسْبَكَ اللّٰهُ ۭهُوَ الَّذِيْٓ اَيَّدَكَ بِنَصْرِهٖ وَبِالْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ62 
اور اگر وہ تمہيں فريب ديا چاہيں تو بيشک اللہ تمہيں کافي ہے وہي ہے جس نے تمہيں زور ديا اپني مدد کا اور مسلمانوں کا
" If you do not help him (Prophet Mohammed - peace and blessings be upon him), Allah has helped him - when he had to go forth due to the mischief of the disbelievers, just as two men * - when they were in the cave, when he was saying to his companion ""Do
وَاَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوْبِهِمْ ۭ لَوْ اَنْفَقْتَ مَا فِي الْاَرْضِ جَمِيْعًا مَّآ اَلَّفْتَ بَيْنَ قُلُوْبِهِمْ وَلٰكِنَّ اللّٰهَ اَلَّفَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۭاِنَّهٗ عَزِيْزٌ حَكِيْمٌ63 
اور ان کے دلوں ميں ميل کر ديا اگر تم زمين ميں جو کچھ ہے سب خرچ کر ديتے ان کے دل نہ ملا سکتے ليکن اللہ نے ان کے دل ملا ديئے بيشک وہي ہے غالب حکمت والا
Migrate - whether willingly or with a heavy heart and fight in Allah's cause with your wealth and your lives; this is better for you, if you realise.
يٰٓاَيُّھَا النَّبِيُّ حَسْبُكَ اللّٰهُ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ   ۧ64 
اے غيب کي خبريں بتانے والے نبي اللہ تمہيں کافي ہے اور يہ جتنے مسلمان تمہارے پيرو ہوئے
" Had there been some wealth near at hand or a short journey, they would have certainly accompanied you, but the difficult path became very distant for them; and they will now swear by Allah that ""Had we been able, we would have surely accompanied you"";
يٰٓاَيُّھَا النَّبِيُّ حَرِّضِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ عَلَي الْقِتَالِ ۭاِنْ يَّكُنْ مِّنْكُمْ عِشْرُوْنَ صٰبِرُوْنَ يَغْلِبُوْا مِائَـتَيْنِ ۚ وَاِنْ يَّكُنْ مِّنْكُمْ مِّائَةٌ يَّغْلِبُوْٓا اَلْفًا مِّنَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا بِاَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَفْقَهُوْنَ65 
اے غيب کي خبريں بتانے والے مسلمانوں کو جہاد کي ترغيب دو اگر تم ميں کے بيس صبر والے ہوں گے دو سو پر غالب ہوں گے اور اگر تم ميں کے سو ہوں تو کافروں کے ہزار پر غالب آئيں گے اس لئے کہ وہ سمجھ نہيں رکھتے
May Allah forgive you *; why did you permit them ** until the truthful ones had been manifested to you and the liars been exposed? (* This is an expression of love for the Holy Prophet - peace and blessings be upon him. ** The hypocrites had been permitt
اَلْئٰنَ خَفَّفَ اللّٰهُ عَنْكُمْ وَعَلِمَ اَنَّ فِيْكُمْ ضَعْفًا ۭفَاِنْ يَّكُنْ مِّنْكُمْ مِّائَةٌ صَابِرَةٌ يَّغْلِبُوْا مِائَتَيْنِ ۚ وَاِنْ يَّكُنْ مِّنْكُمْ اَلْفٌ يَّغْلِبُوْٓا اَلْفَيْنِ بِاِذْنِ اللّٰهِ ۭ وَاللّٰهُ مَعَ الصّٰبِرِيْنَ66 
اب اللہ نے تم پر سے تخفيف فرما دي اور اسے معلوم ہے کہ تم کمزور ہو تو اگر تم ميں سو صبر والے ہوں دو سو پر غالب آئيں گے اور اگر تم ميں کے ہزار ہوں تو دو ہزار پر غالب ہوں گے اللہ کے حکم سے اور اللہ صبر والوں کے ساتھ ہے
And those who believe in Allah and the Last Day will not seek exemption from you for not fighting with their wealth and their lives; and Allah well knows the pious.
مَا كَانَ لِنَبِيٍّ اَنْ يَّكُوْنَ لَهٗٓ اَسْرٰي حَتّٰي يُثْخِنَ فِي الْاَرْضِ ۭتُرِيْدُوْنَ عَرَضَ الدُّنْيَا ڰ وَاللّٰهُ يُرِيْدُ الْاٰخِرَةَ ۭوَاللّٰهُ عَزِيْزٌ حَكِيْمٌ67 
کسي نبي کو لائق نہيں کہ کافروں کو زندہ قيد کرے جب تک زمين ميں ان کا خون خوب نہ بہائے تم لوگ دنيا کا مال چاہتے ہو اور اللہ آخرت چاہتا ہے اور اللہ غالب حکمت والا ہے
Only those ask for such an exemption from you who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day, and whose hearts are in doubt - so they waver in their doubts.
لَوْلَا كِتٰبٌ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ سَبَقَ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِــيْمَآ اَخَذْتُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيْمٌ68 
اگر اللہ پہلے ايک بات لکھ نہ چکا ہوتا تو اے مسلمانو تم نے جو کافروں سے بدلے کا مال لے ليا اس ميں تم پر بڑا عذاب آتا
" And if going forth were acceptable to them, they would have made preparations for it, but Allah Himself disliked their getting up (to fight) so He filled them with laze and it was said ""Continue sitting with those who remain seated."" "
فَكُلُوْا مِمَّا غَنِمْتُمْ حَلٰلًا طَيِّبًا ڮ وَّاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ ۭاِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ   ۧ69 
تو کھاؤ جو غنيمت تمہيں ملي حلال پاکيزہ اور اللہ سے ڈرتے رہو بيشک اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے
If they had gone forth among you, you would then not gain any increase from them except trouble, and seeking to cause turmoil they would run rumours among you; and their spies are among you; and Allah well knows the unjust.
يٰٓاَيُّھَا النَّبِيُّ قُلْ لِّمَنْ فِيْٓ اَيْدِيْكُمْ مِّنَ الْاَسْرٰٓي ۙ اِنْ يَّعْلَمِ اللّٰهُ فِيْ قُلُوْبِكُمْ خَيْرًا يُّؤْتِكُمْ خَيْرًا مِّمَّآ اُخِذَ مِنْكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ۭ وَاللّٰهُ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ70 
اے غيب کي خبريں بتانے والے جو قيدي تمہارے ہاتھ ميں ہيں ان سے فرماؤ اگر اللہ نے تمہارے دلوں ميں بھلائي جاني تو جو تم سے ليا گيا اس سے بہتر تمہيں عطا فرمائے گا اور تمہيں بخش دے گا اور اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے
Indeed they had sought to cause turmoil at the outset, and O dear Prophet the scheme turned otherwise * for you, so much so that the truth came and the command of Allah appeared, and they disliked it. (* In your favour.)
وَاِنْ يُّرِيْدُوْا خِيَانَتَكَ فَقَدْ خَانُوا اللّٰهَ مِنْ قَبْلُ فَاَمْكَنَ مِنْهُمْ ۭوَاللّٰهُ عَلِيْمٌ حَكِيْمٌ71 
اور اے محبوب اگر وہ تم سے دغا چاہيں گے تو اس سے پہلے اللہ ہي کي خيانت کر چکے ہيں جس پر اس نے اتنے تمہارے قابو ميں دے دئيے اور اللہ جاننے والا حکمت والا ہے
" And among them is one who requests you that, ""Grant me exemption (from fighting) and do not put me to test""; pay heed! They have indeed fallen into trial; and indeed hell surrounds the disbelievers. "
اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَهَاجَرُوْا وَجٰهَدُوْا بِاَمْوَالِهِمْ وَاَنْفُسِهِمْ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ وَالَّذِيْنَ اٰوَوْا وَّنَــصَرُوْٓا اُولٰۗىِٕكَ بَعْضُهُمْ اَوْلِيَاۗءُ بَعْضٍ ۭ وَالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَلَمْ يُهَاجِرُوْا مَا لَكُمْ مِّنْ وَّلَايَتِهِمْ مِّنْ شَيْءٍ حَتّٰي يُهَاجِرُوْا ۚ وَاِنِ اسْتَنْصَرُوْكُمْ فِي الدِّيْنِ فَعَلَيْكُمُ النَّصْرُ اِلَّا عَلٰي قَوْمٍۢ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ مِّيْثَاقٌ ۭ وَاللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ بَصِيْرٌ72 
بيشک جو ايمان لائے اور اللہ کے لئے گھر بار چھوڑے اور اللہ کي راہ ميں اپنے مالوں اور جانوں سے لڑے اور وہ جنہوں نے جگہ دي اور مدد کي وہ ايک دوسرے کے وارث ہيں اور وہ جو ايمان لائے اور ہجرت نہ کي تمہيں ان کا ترکہ کچھ نہيں پہ
If good befalls you they dislike it; and were some calamity to befall you, they would say, “We had resolved our matters in advance”, and would turn away rejoicing.
وَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا بَعْضُهُمْ اَوْلِيَاۗءُ بَعْضٍ ۭاِلَّا تَفْعَلُوْهُ تَكُنْ فِتْنَةٌ فِي الْاَرْضِ وَفَسَادٌ كَبِيْرٌ73 
اور کافر آپس ميں ايک دوسرے کے وارث ہيں ايسا نہ کرو گے تو زمين ميں فتنہ اور بڑا فساد ہو گا
" Say, O dear Prophet ""Nothing shall befall us except what Allah has destined for us; He is our Master; and the Muslims must rely only on Allah."" "
وَالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَهَاجَرُوْا وَجٰهَدُوْا فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ وَالَّذِيْنَ اٰوَوْا وَّنَصَرُوْٓا اُولٰۗىِٕكَ هُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ حَقًّا ۭ لَهُمْ مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَّرِزْقٌ كَرِيْمٌ74 
اور وہ جو ايمان لائے اور ہجرت کي اور اللہ کي راہ ميں لڑے اور جنہوں نے جگہ دي اور مدد کي وہي سچے ايمان والے ہيں ان کے لئے بخشش ہے اور عزت کي روزي
" Say, ""What do you wait for to happen to us, except one of the two good things?* And for you, we look forward to Allah afflicting you with a punishment from Himself or by our hands; so wait - we too await with you."" (*Death in Allah’s way or victory.)
وَالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا مِنْۢ بَعْدُ وَهَاجَرُوْا وَجٰهَدُوْا مَعَكُمْ فَاُولٰۗىِٕكَ مِنْكُمْ ۭ وَاُولُوا الْاَرْحَامِ بَعْضُهُمْ اَوْلٰى بِبَعْضٍ فِيْ كِتٰبِ اللّٰهِ ۭاِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمٌ   ۧ75 
اور جو بعد کو ايمان لائے اور ہجرت اور تمہارے ساتھ جہاد کيا وہ بھي تمہيں ميں سے ہيں اور رشتہ والے ايک سے دوسرے زيادہ نزديک ہيں اللہ کي کتاب ميں بيشک اللہ سب کچھ جانتا ہے
" Say, ""Spend willingly or with a heavy heart, it will never be accepted from you; indeed you are a disobedient people."" "
