سورة السجدة
اٰیاتہا 30
 The Prostration / As Sajdah (Recite)

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
اللہ کے نام سے شروع جو نہایت مہربان رحم والا
الۗمّۗ1 
الم
In order that Allah may reward the truthful for their truthfulness, and punish the hypocrites if He wills, or give them repentance; indeed Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.
تَنْزِيْلُ الْكِتٰبِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيْهِ مِنْ رَّبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ2 
کتاب کا اتارنا بیشک پروردگار عالم کی طرف سے ہے
And Allah turned back the disbelievers in their hearts’ jealousy, gaining no good; and Allah sufficed the Muslims in their fight; and Allah is Almighty, Most Honourable.
اَمْ يَقُوْلُوْنَ افْتَرٰىهُ ۚ بَلْ هُوَ الْحَـقُّ مِنْ رَّبِّكَ لِتُنْذِرَ قَوْمًا مَّآ اَتٰىهُمْ مِّنْ نَّذِيْرٍ مِّنْ قَبْلِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُوْنَ3 
کیا کہتے ہیں ان کی بنائی ہوئی ہے بلکہ وہی حق ہے تمہارے رب کی طرف سے کہ تم ڈراؤ ایسے لوگوں کو جن کے پاس تم سے پہلے کوئی ڈر سنانے والا نہ آیا اس امید پر کہ وہ راہ پائیں
And He brought down from their forts, the People given the Book(s) who had supported them, and instilled awe into their hearts - you slay a group among them and another group you make captive.
اَللّٰهُ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِيْ سِـتَّةِ اَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوٰي عَلَي الْعَرْشِ ۭ مَا لَكُمْ مِّنْ دُوْنِهٖ مِنْ وَّلِيٍّ وَّلَا شَفِيْعٍ ۭ اَفَلَا تَتَذَكَّرُوْنَ4 
اللہ ہے جس نے آسمان اور زمین اور جو کچھ ان کے بیچ میں ہے چھ دن میں بنائے پھر عرش پر استوا فرمایا اس سے چھوٹ کر(لا تعلق ہوکر)تمہارا کوئی حمایتی اور نہ سفارشی تو کیا تم دھیان نہیں کرتے
And He bequeathed you their lands and their houses and their wealth, and land that you have not yet set foot upon; and Allah is Able to do all things.
يُدَبِّرُ الْاَمْرَ مِنَ السَّمَاۗءِ اِلَى الْاَرْضِ ثُمَّ يَعْرُجُ اِلَيْهِ فِيْ يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهٗٓ اَلْفَ سَـنَةٍ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّوْنَ5 
کام کی تدبیر فرماتا ہے آسمان سے زمین تک پھر اسی کی طرف رجوع کرے گا اس دن کہ جس کی مقدار ہزار برس ہے تمہاری گنتی میں
O Herald of the Hidden! Say to your wives, “If you desire the worldly life and its adornment – therefore come, I shall give you wealth and a befitting release!”
ذٰلِكَ عٰلِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ الْعَزِيْزُ الرَّحِيْمُ6 
یہ ہے ہر نہاں اور عیاں کا جاننے والا عزت و رحمت والا
“And if you desire Allah and His Noble Messenger and the abode of the Hereafter - then indeed Allah has kept prepared an immense reward for the virtuous among you.”
الَّذِيْٓ اَحْسَنَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقَهٗ وَبَدَاَ خَلْقَ الْاِنْسَانِ مِنْ طِيْنٍ7 
وہ جس نے جو چیز بتائی خوب بنائی اور پیدائش انسان کی ابتدا مٹی سے فرمائی
O the wives of the Prophet! If any among you dares to commit an act contrary to decency, for her will be double the punishment of others; and this is easy for Allah.
ثُمَّ جَعَلَ نَسْلَهٗ مِنْ سُلٰلَةٍ مِّنْ مَّاۗءٍ مَّهِيْنٍ8 
پھر اس کی نسل رکھی ایک بے قدر پانی کے خلاصہ سے
And whoever among you remains obedient towards Allah and His Noble Messenger and does good deeds - We shall give her double the reward of others, and have kept prepared for her an honourable sustenance.
ثُمَّ سَوّٰىهُ وَنَفَخَ فِيْهِ مِنْ رُّوْحِهٖ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْاَبْصَارَ وَالْاَفْـــِٕدَةَ ۭ قَلِيْلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُوْنَ9 
پھر اسے ٹھیک کیا اور اس میں اپنی طرف کی روح پھونکی اور تمہیں کان اور آنکھیں اور دل عطا فرمائے کیا ہی تھوڑا حق مانتے ہو
O the wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other women - if you really fear Allah, do not speak softly lest the one in whose heart is a disease have any inclination, and speak fairly.
وَقَالُوْٓا ءَاِذَا ضَلَلْنَا فِي الْاَرْضِ ءَاِنَّا لَفِيْ خَلْقٍ جَدِيْدٍ ڛ بَلْ هُمْ بِلِقَاۗئِ رَبِّهِمْ كٰفِرُوْنَ10 
اور بولے کیا جب ہم مٹی میں مل جائیں گے کیا پھر نئے بنیں گے، بلکہ وہ اپنے رب کے حضور حاضری سے منکر ہیں
And remain in your houses and do not unveil yourselves like the unveiling prevalent in the times of ignorance, and keep the prayer established, and pay the charity, and obey Allah and His Noble Messenger; Allah only wills to remove all impurity from you,
قُلْ يَتَوَفّٰىكُمْ مَّلَكُ الْمَوْتِ الَّذِيْ وُكِّلَ بِكُمْ ثُمَّ اِلٰى رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُوْنَ   ۧ11 
تم فرماؤ تمہیں وفات دیتا ہے موت کا فرشتہ جو تم پر مقرر ہے پھر اپنے رب کی طرف واپس جاؤ گے
And remember what is recited in your houses, from Allah’s verses and wisdom *; indeed Allah knows the minutest things, is All Aware. (The Holy Qur’an and the sayings- hadith - of the Holy Prophet.)
وَلَوْ تَرٰٓي اِذِ الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ نَاكِسُوْا رُءُوْسِهِمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ ۭ رَبَّنَآ اَبْصَرْنَا وَسَمِعْنَا فَارْجِعْنَا نَعْمَلْ صَالِحًا اِنَّا مُوْقِنُوْنَ12 
اور کہیں تم دیکھو جب مجرم اپنے رب کے پاس سر نیچے ڈالے ہوں گے اے ہمارے رب اب ہم نے دیکھا اور سنا ہمیں پھر بھیج کہ نیک کام کریں ہم کو یقین آگیا
Indeed the Muslim men and Muslim women, and the believing men and the believing women, and the men who obey and the women who obey, and the truthful men and the truthful women, and the patient men and the patient women, and the humble men and the humble
وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَاٰتَيْنَا كُلَّ نَفْسٍ هُدٰىهَا وَلٰكِنْ حَقَّ الْقَوْلُ مِنِّيْ لَاَمْلَئَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ اَجْمَعِيْنَ13 
اور اگر ہم چاہتے ہر جان کو اس کی ہدایت فرماتے مگر میری بات قرار پاچکی کہ ضرور جہنم کو بھردوں گا ان جِنوں اور آدمیوں سب سے
And no Muslim man or woman has any right in the affair, when Allah and His Noble Messenger have decreed a command regarding it; and whoever does not obey the command of Allah and His Noble Messenger, has indeed clearly gone very astray.
فَذُوْقُوْا بِمَا نَسِيْتُمْ لِقَاۗءَ يَوْمِكُمْ ھٰذَا ۚ اِنَّا نَسِيْنٰكُمْ وَذُوْقُوْا عَذَابَ الْخُلْدِ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ14 
اب چکھو بدلہ اس کا کہ تم اپنے اس دن کی حاضری بھولے تھے ہم نے تمہیں چھوڑ دیا اب ہمیشہ کا عذاب چکھو اپنے کیے کا بدلہ
And O dear Prophet, remember when you said to him upon whom Allah has bestowed favour and you had bestowed favour, “Keep your wife with you, and fear Allah”, and you kept in your heart what Allah willed to make known, and you feared criticism from the pe
اِنَّمَا يُؤْمِنُ بِاٰيٰتِنَا الَّذِيْنَ اِذَا ذُكِّرُوْا بِهَا خَرُّوْا سُجَّدًا وَّسَبَّحُوْا بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُوْنَ  ۞15 
ہماری آیتوں پر وہی ایمان لاتے ہیں کہ جب وہ انہیں یاد دلائی جاتی ہیں سجدہ میں گر جاتے ہیں اور اپنے رب کی تعریف کرتے ہوئے اس کی پاکی بولتے ہیں اور تکبر نہیں کرتے، (السجدة۔۹)
There is no blame upon the Prophet regarding the matter that Allah has decreed for him; it has been Allah’s tradition in those who passed before; and the command of Allah is a certain destiny.
تَـتَجَافٰى جُنُوْبُهُمْ عَنِ الْمَضَاجِعِ يَدْعُوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ خَوْفًا وَّطَمَعًا ۡ وَّمِـمَّا رَزَقْنٰهُمْ يُنْفِقُوْنَ16 
ان کی کروٹیں جدا ہوتی ہیں خوابگاہوں ہسے اور اپنے رب کو پکارتے ہیں ڈرتے اور امید کرتے اور ہمارے دیے ہوئے سے کچھ خیرات کرتے ہیں
Those who deliver the messages of Allah and fear Him, and do not fear anyone except Allah; and Allah is Sufficient to take account.
فَلَا تَعْلَمُ نَفْسٌ مَّآ اُخْفِيَ لَهُمْ مِّنْ قُرَّةِ اَعْيُنٍ ۚ جَزَاۗءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ17 
تو کسی جی کو نہیں معلوم جو آنکھ کی ٹھنڈک ان کے لیے چھپا رکھی ہے صلہ ان کے کاموں کا
Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) is not the father of any man among you – but he is the Noble Messenger of Allah and the Last of the Prophets *; and Allah knows all things. (* Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him – is the Last Pro
اَفَمَنْ كَانَ مُؤْمِنًا كَمَنْ كَانَ فَاسِقًا ڼ لَا يَسْـتَوٗنَ18 
تو کیا جو ایمان والا ہے وہ اس جیسا ہوجائے گا جو بے حکم ہے یہ برابر نہیں
O People who Believe! Remember Allah profusely.
اَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ فَلَهُمْ جَنّٰتُ الْمَاْوٰي ۡ نُزُلًۢا بِمَا كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ19 
جو ایمان لائے اور اچھے کام کیے ان کے لیے بسنے کے باغ ہیں، ان کے کاموں کے صلہ میں مہمانداری
And proclaim His Purity, morning and evening.
وَاَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ فَسَقُوْا فَمَاْوٰىهُمُ النَّارُ ۭ كُلَّمَآ اَرَادُوْٓا اَنْ يَّخْـرُجُوْا مِنْهَآ اُعِيْدُوْا فِيْهَا وَقِيْلَ لَهُمْ ذُوْقُوْا عَذَابَ النَّارِ الَّذِيْ كُنْتُمْ بِهٖ تُكَذِّبُوْنَ20 
رہے وہ جو بے حکم ہیں ان کا ٹھکانا آ گ ہے، جب کبھی اس میں سے نکلنا چاہیں گے پھر اسی میں پھیر دیے جائیں گے اور ان سے کہا جائے گا چکھو اس آگ کا عذاب جسے تم جھٹلاتے تھے
It is He Who sends blessings upon you *, and so do His angels, so that He may bring you out from darkness into light; and He is Most Merciful upon the Muslims. (* Upon the companions of the Holy Prophet).
وَلَنُذِيْـقَنَّهُمْ مِّنَ الْعَذَابِ الْاَدْنٰى دُوْنَ الْعَذَابِ الْاَكْبَرِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُوْنَ21 
اور ضرور ہم انہیں چکھائیں گے کچھ نزدیک کا عذاب اس بڑے عذاب سے پہلے جسے دیکھنے والا امید کرے کہ ابھی باز آئیں گے
For them the salutation upon their meeting * is “Peace”; and an honourable reward is kept prepared for them. (* Upon death / while entering Paradise / meeting with Allah).
وَمَنْ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ ذُكِّرَ بِاٰيٰتِ رَبِّهٖ ثُمَّ اَعْرَضَ عَنْهَا ۭ اِنَّا مِنَ الْمُجْرِمِيْنَ مُنْتَقِمُوْنَ   ۧ22 
اور اس سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون جسے اس کے رب کی آیتوں سے نصیحت کی گئی پھر اس نے ان سے منہ پھیر لیا بیشک ہم مجرموں سے بدلہ لینے والے ہیں
O Herald of the Hidden! We have indeed sent you as an observing present witness and a Herald of glad tidings and warning.
وَلَقَدْ اٰتَيْنَا مُوْسَى الْكِتٰبَ فَلَا تَكُنْ فِيْ مِرْيَةٍ مِّنْ لِّــقَاۗىِٕهٖ وَجَعَلْنٰهُ هُدًى لِّبَنِيْٓ اِسْرَاۗءِيْلَ23 
اور بیشک ہم نے موسیٰ کو کتاب عطا فرمائی تو تم اس کے ملنے میں شک نہ کرو اور ہم نے اسے بنی اسرائیل کے لیے ہدایت کیا
And as a caller towards Allah, by His command, and as a sun that enlightens. (The Holy Prophet is a light from Allah.)
وَجَعَلْنَا مِنْهُمْ اَىِٕمَّةً يَّهْدُوْنَ بِاَمْرِنَا لَمَّا صَبَرُوْا ڜ وَكَانُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَا يُوْقِنُوْنَ24 
اور ہم نے ان میں سے کچھ امام بنائے کہ ہمارے حکم سے بناتے جبکہ انہوں نے صبر کیا اور وہ ہماری آیتوں پر یقین لاتے تھے
And give glad tidings to the believers that for them is Allah’s extreme munificence.
اِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ فِيْمَا كَانُوْا فِيْهِ يَخْتَلِفُوْنَ25 
بیشک تمہارا رب ان میں فیصلہ کردے گا قیامت کے دن جس بات میں اختلاف کرتے تھے
And do not please the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and overlook the pain they cause and rely upon Allah; and Allah suffices as a Trustee.
اَوَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ كَمْ اَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِّنَ الْقُرُوْنِ يَمْشُوْنَ فِيْ مَسٰكِنِهِمْ ۭ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ ۭ اَفَلَا يَسْمَعُوْنَ26 
اور کیا انہیں اس پر ہدایت نہ ہوئی کہ ہم نے ان سے پہلے کتنی سنگتیں(قومیں)ہلاک کردیں کہ آج یہ ان کے گھروں میں چل پھر رہے ہیں بیشک اس میں ضرور نشانیاں ہیں تو کیا سنتے نہیں
O People who Believe! If you marry Muslim women and divorce them without having touched them, so for you there is no waiting period for the women, which you may count; therefore give them some benefit and release them with a proper release.
اَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا اَنَّا نَسُوْقُ الْمَاۗءَ اِلَى الْاَرْضِ الْجُرُزِ فَنُخْرِجُ بِهٖ زَرْعًا تَاْكُلُ مِنْهُ اَنْعَامُهُمْ وَاَنْفُسُهُمْ ۭ اَفَلَا يُبْصِرُوْنَ27 
اور کیا نہیں دیکھتے کہ ہم پانی بھیجتے ہیں خشک زمین کی طرف پھر اس سے کھیتی نکالتے ہیں کہ اس میں سے ان کے چوپائے اور وہ خود کھاتے ہیں تو کیا انہیں سوجھتانہیں
O Herald of the Hidden! We have indeed made lawful for you the wives to whom you have paid their bridal money, and the bondwomen you possess whom Allah gave you as war booty, and the daughters of your paternal uncles, and the daughters of your paternal a
وَيَقُوْلُوْنَ مَتٰى ھٰذَا الْفَتْحُ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِيْنَ28 
اور کہتے ہیں یہ فیصلہ کب ہوگا اگر تم سچے ہو
Put back in the order whom you wish among them and give your proximity to whomever you wish; and if you incline towards one whom you had set aside, there is no sin upon you in it; this command is closer to their eyes remaining soothed and not grieving, a
قُلْ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ لَا يَنْفَعُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْٓا اِيْمَانُهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنْظَرُوْنَ29 
تم فرماؤ فیصلہ کے دن کافروں کو ان کا ایمان لانا نفع نہ دے گا اور نہ انہیں مہلت ملے
Other women are not permitted for you after these, nor that you change them for other wives even if their beauty pleases you except the bondwomen whom you possess; and Allah is the Guardian over all things.
فَاَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ وَانْتَظِرْ اِنَّهُمْ مُّنْتَظِرُوْنَ   ۧ30 
تو ان سے منہ پھیرلو اور انتظار کرو بیشک انہیں بھی انتظار کرنا ہے
O People who Believe! Do not enter the houses of the Prophet without permission, as when called for a meal but not to linger around waiting for it – and if you are invited then certainly present yourself and when you have eaten, disperse – not staying ar
