سورة المؤمنون
اٰیاتہا 118
 The Believers / Al Mu"minun (Recite)

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
اللہ کے نام سے شروع جو نہایت مہربان رحم والا
قَدْ اَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ1 
بیشک مراد کو پہنچے ایمان والے
So leave them in their intoxication till a time.
الَّذِيْنَ هُمْ فِيْ صَلَاتِهِمْ خٰشِعُوْنَ2 
جو اپنی نماز میں گڑگڑاتے ہیں
Do they assume that the wealth and sons which We provide them -
وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ عَنِ اللَّغْوِ مُعْرِضُوْنَ3 
اور وہ جو کسی بیہودہ بات کی طرف التفات نہیں کرتے
Are quickly giving them goodness? In fact, they do not know.
وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ لِلزَّكٰوةِ فٰعِلُوْنَ4 
اور وہ کہ زکوٰة دینے کا کام کرتے ہیں
Indeed those who are overwhelmed due to the fear of their Lord -
وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ لِفُرُوْجِهِمْ حٰفِظُوْنَ5 
اور وہ جو اپنی شرمگاہوں کی حفاظت کرتے ہیں
And those who believe in the signs of their Lord -
اِلَّا عَلٰٓي اَزْوَاجِهِمْ اَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ اَيْمَانُهُمْ فَاِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُوْمِيْنَ6 
مگر اپنی بیبیوں یا شرعی باندیوں پر جو ان کے ہاتھ کی مِلک ہیں کہ ان پر کوئی ملامت نہیں
And those who do not ascribe any partner to their Lord -
فَمَنِ ابْتَغٰى وَرَاۗءَ ذٰلِكَ فَاُولٰۗىِٕكَ هُمُ الْعٰدُوْنَ7 
تو جو ان دو کے سوا کچھ اور چاہے وہی حد سے بڑھنے والے ہیں
And those who give what they give and their hearts fear for they have to return to their Lord.
وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ لِاَمٰنٰتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رٰعُوْنَ8 
اور وہ جو اپنی امانتوں اور اپنے عہد کی رعایت کرتے ہیں
These people hasten to perform goodness, and it is they who shall reach it first.
وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ عَلٰي صَلَوٰتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُوْنَ9 
اور وہ جو اپنی نمازوں کی نگہبانی کرتے ہیں
And We do not burden any soul beyond its capacity, and with Us is a Book * that speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. (* The preserved tablet or the record of one’s deeds.)
اُولٰۗىِٕكَ هُمُ الْوٰرِثُوْنَ10 
یہی لوگ وارث ہیں
On the contrary, their hearts are in neglect of this and their works are different than those of the believers, the works that they are doing.
الَّذِيْنَ يَرِثُوْنَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ ۭ هُمْ فِيْهَا خٰلِدُوْنَ11 
کہ فردوس کی میراث پائیں گے، وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے
To the extent that when We seized the wealthy among them with punishment, they immediately began imploring.
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْاِنْسَانَ مِنْ سُلٰـلَـةٍ مِّنْ طِيْنٍ12 
اور بیشک ہم نے آدمی کو چنی ہوئی(انتخاب کی)مٹی سے بنایا
" ""Do not implore this day; you will not be helped by Us."" "
ثُمَّ جَعَلْنٰهُ نُطْفَةً فِيْ قَرَارٍ مَّكِيْنٍ13 
پھر اسے پانی کی بوند کیا ایک مضبوط ٹھہراؤ میں
" ""My verses were recited to you, so you used to turn back on your heels."" "
ثُمَّ خَلَقْنَا النُّطْفَةَ عَلَقَةً فَخَـلَقْنَا الْعَلَقَةَ مُضْغَةً فَخَـلَقْنَا الْمُضْغَةَ عِظٰمًا فَكَسَوْنَا الْعِظٰمَ لَحْــمًا ۤ ثُمَّ اَنْشَاْنٰهُ خَلْقًا اٰخَرَ ۭفَتَبٰرَكَ اللّٰهُ اَحْسَنُ الْخٰلِقِيْنَ14 
پھر ہم نے اس پانی کی بوند کو خون کی پھٹک کیا پھر خون کی پھٹک کو گوشت کی بوٹی پھر گوشت کی بوٹی کو ہڈیاں پھر ان ہڈیوں پر گوشت پہنایا، پھر اسے اور صورت میں اٹھان دی تو بڑی برکت والا ہے اللہ سب سے بہتر بتانے والا
" ""Priding yourself in serving the Sacred Mosque; at night you utter indecent stories in it, while discarding the truth."" "
ثُمَّ اِنَّكُمْ بَعْدَ ذٰلِكَ لَمَيِّتُوْنَ15 
پھر اس کے بعد تم ضرور مرنے والے ہو
Have they not pondered the matter, or did that come to them, which did not come to their forefathers?
ثُمَّ اِنَّكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ تُبْعَثُوْنَ16 
پھر تم سب قیامت کے دن اٹھائے جاؤ گے
Or is it that they did not recognise their Noble Messenger, therefore they consider him alien?
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعَ طَرَاۗىِٕقَ ڰ وَمَا كُنَّا عَنِ الْخَلْقِ غٰفِلِيْنَ17 
اور بیشک ہم نے تمہارے اوپر سات راہیں بنائیں اور ہم خلق سے بے خبر نہیں
" Or they say, ""He is afflicted by a demon""; in fact he brought the Truth to them, and most of them dislike the Truth. "
وَاَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاۗءِ مَاۗءًۢ بِقَدَرٍ فَاَسْكَنّٰهُ فِي الْاَرْضِ ڰ وَاِنَّا عَلٰي ذَهَابٍۢ بِهٖ لَقٰدِرُوْنَ18 
اور ہم نے آسمان سے پانی اتارا ایک اندازہ پر پھر اسے زمین میں ٹھہرایا اور بیشک ہم اس کے لے جانے پر قادر ہیں
And had the Truth followed their desires, then indeed the heavens and the earth and all those who are in them would be destroyed; in fact We brought to them a thing in which lay their repute, so they are turned away from their own repute.
فَاَنْشَاْنَا لَكُمْ بِهٖ جَنّٰتٍ مِّنْ نَّخِيْلٍ وَّاَعْنَابٍ ۘلَكُمْ فِيْهَا فَوَاكِهُ كَثِيْرَةٌ وَّمِنْهَا تَاْكُلُوْنَ19 
تو اس سے ہم نے تمہارے باغ پیدا کیے کھجوروں اور انگوروں کے تمہارے لیے ان میں بہت سے میوے ہیں اور ان میں سے کھاتے ہو
Do you (O dear Prophet Mohammed - peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them? So the reward of your Lord is the best; and He is the Best Provider of Sustenance.
وَشَجَــرَةً تَخْــرُجُ مِنْ طُوْرِ سَيْنَاۗءَ تَنْۢبُتُ بِالدُّهْنِ وَصِبْغٍ لِّلْاٰكِلِيْنَ20 
اور وہ پیڑ پیدا کیا کہ طور سینا سے نکلتا ہے لے کر اگتا ہے تیل اور کھانے والوں کے لیے سالن
And indeed you call them to the Straight Path.
وَاِنَّ لَكُمْ فِي الْاَنْعَامِ لَعِبْرَةً ۭ نُسْقِيْكُمْ مِّمَّا فِيْ بُطُوْنِهَا وَلَكُمْ فِيْهَا مَنَافِعُ كَثِيْرَةٌ وَّمِنْهَا تَاْكُلُوْنَ21 
اور بیشک تمہارے لیے چوپایوں میں سمجھنے کا مقام ہے، ہم تمہیں پلاتے ہیں اس میں سے جو ان کے پیٹ میں ہے اور تمہارے لیے ان میں بہت فائدے ہیں اور ان سے تمہاری خوراک ہے
And indeed those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviated from the Straight Path.
وَعَلَيْهَا وَعَلَي الْفُلْكِ تُحْمَلُوْنَ   ۧ22 
اور ان پر اور کشتی پر سوار کیے جاتے ہو
And if We have mercy upon them and remove the calamity which has befallen them, they would still stubbornly persist, wandering in their rebellion.
وَلَقَدْ اَرْسَلْنَا نُوْحًا اِلٰى قَوْمِهٖ فَقَالَ يٰقَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِّنْ اِلٰهٍ غَيْرُهٗ ۭ اَفَلَا تَتَّقُوْنَ23 
اور بیشک ہم نے نوح کو اس کی قوم کی طرف بھیجا تو اس نے کہا اے میری قوم اللہ کو پوجو اس کے سوا تمہارا کوئی خدا نہیں، تو کیا تمہیں ڈر نہیں
And indeed We grasped them with punishment, so neither did they submit themselves to their Lord, nor do they cry humbly.
فَقَالَ الْمَلَؤُا الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ قَوْمِهٖ مَا ھٰذَآ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ ۙ يُرِيْدُ اَنْ يَّتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ ۭ وَلَوْ شَاۗءَ اللّٰهُ لَاَنْزَلَ مَلٰۗىِٕكَةً ښ مَّا سَمِعْنَا بِھٰذَا فِيْٓ اٰبَاۗىِٕنَا الْاَوَّلِيْنَ24 
تو اس کی قوم کے جن سرداروں نے کفر کیا بولے یہ تو نہیں مگر تم جیسا آدمی چاہتا ہے کہ تمہارا بڑا بنے اور اللہ چاہتا تو فرشتے اتارتا ہم نے تو یہ اگلے باپ داداؤں میں نہ سنا
To the extent that when We opened the gate of a severe punishment for them, they thereupon lie despairingly in it.
اِنْ هُوَ اِلَّا رَجُلٌۢ بِهٖ جِنَّةٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوْا بِهٖ حَتّٰى حِيْنٍ25 
وہ تو نہیں مگر ایک دیوانہ مرد تو کچھ زمانہ تک اس کا انتظار کیے رہو
And it is He Who has created ears and eyes and hearts for you; very little is the right you acknowledge.
قَالَ رَبِّ انْــصُرْنِيْ بِمَا كَذَّبُوْنِ26 
نوح نے عرض کی اے میرے رب!میری مدد فرما اس پر کہ انہوں نے مجھے جھٹلایا
And it is He Who has spread you in the earth, and towards Him you are to be raised.
فَاَوْحَيْنَآ اِلَيْهِ اَنِ اصْنَعِ الْفُلْكَ بِاَعْيُنِنَا وَوَحْيِنَا فَاِذَا جَاۗءَ اَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ التَّنُّوْرُ ۙ فَاسْلُكْ فِيْهَا مِنْ كُلٍّ زَوْجَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ وَاَهْلَكَ اِلَّا مَنْ سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ الْقَوْلُ مِنْهُمْ ۚ وَلَا تُخَاطِبْنِيْ فِي الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْا ۚ اِنَّهُمْ مُّغْرَقُوْنَ27 
تو ہم نے اسے وحی بھیجی کہ ہماری نگاہ کے سامنے اور ہمارے حکم سے کشتی بنا پھر جب ہمارا حکم آئے اور تنور ابلے تو اس میں بٹھالے ہر جوڑے میں سے دو اور اپنے گھر والے مگر ان میں سے وہ جن پر بات پہلے پڑچکی اور ان ظالموں کے معاملہ میں مجھ سے بات نہ کرنا یہ ضرور ڈبوئے جائیں گے
And it is He Who gives life and causes death, and for Him are the alternations of night and day; so do you not have sense?
فَاِذَا اسْتَوَيْتَ اَنْتَ وَمَنْ مَّعَكَ عَلَي الْفُلْكِ فَقُلِ الْـحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ نَجّٰىنَا مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ28 
پھر جب ٹھیک بیٹھ لے کشتی پر تُو اور تیرے ساتھ والے تو کہہ سب خوبیاں اللہ کو جس نے ہمیں ان ظالموں سے نجات دی
On the contrary, they said the same as what the former people used to say.
وَقُلْ رَّبِّ اَنْزِلْنِيْ مُنْزَلًا مُّبٰرَكًا وَّاَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْمُنْزِلِيْنَ29 
اور عرض کر کہ اے میرے رب مجھے برکت والی جگہ اتار اور تو سب سے بہتر اتارنے والا ہے
" They say, ""Will we, when we die and turn into dust and bones, be raised again?"" "
اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ وَّاِنْ كُنَّا لَمُبْتَلِيْنَ30 
بیشک اس میں ضرو ر نشانیاں اور بیشک ضرور ہم جانچنے والے تھے
" ""Indeed this promise was given to us and before us to our forefathers – this is nothing but stories of earlier people."" "
ثُمَّ اَنْشَاْنَا مِنْۢ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا اٰخَرِيْنَ31 
پھر ان کے بعد ہم نے اور سنگت(قوم)پیدا کی
" Say O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), ""To Whom does the earth and all that is in it belong to, if you know?"" "
فَاَرْسَلْنَا فِيْهِمْ رَسُوْلًا مِّنْهُمْ اَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِّنْ اِلٰهٍ غَيْرُهٗ ۭ اَفَلَا تَتَّقُوْنَ   ۧ32 
تو ان میں ایک رسول انہیں میں سے بھیجا کہ اللہ کی بندگی کرو اس کے سوا تمہارا کوئی خدا نہیں، تو کیا تمہیں ڈر نہیں
" Thereupon they will say, ""To Allah""; proclaim, ""Therefore why do you not ponder?"" "
وَقَالَ الْمَلَاُ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا وَكَذَّبُوْا بِلِقَاۗءِ الْاٰخِرَةِ وَاَتْرَفْنٰهُمْ فِي الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا ۙ مَا ھٰذَآ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ ۙ يَاْكُلُ مِمَّا تَاْكُلُوْنَ مِنْهُ وَيَشْرَبُ مِمَّا تَشْرَبُوْنَ33 
اور بولے اس قوم کے سردار جنہوں نے کفر کیا اور آخرت کی حاضری کو جھٹلایا اور ہم نے انہیں دنیا کی زندگی میں چین دیا کہ یہ تو نہیں مگر جیسا آدمی جو تم کھاتے ہو اسی میں سے کھاتا ہے اور جو تم پیتے ہو اسی میں سے پیتا ہے
" Say, ""Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and the Lord of the Tremendous Throne?"" "
وَلَىِٕنْ اَطَعْتُمْ بَشَرًا مِّثْلَكُمْ ۙ اِنَّكُمْ اِذًا لَّخٰسِرُوْنَ34 
اور اگر تم کسی اپنے جیسے آدمی کی اطاعت کرو جب تو تم ضرور گھاٹے میں ہو
" Thereupon they will say, ""Such greatness is only that of Allah""; say, ""So why do you not fear?"" "
اَيَعِدُكُمْ اَنَّكُمْ اِذَا مِتُّمْ وَكُنْتُمْ تُرَابًا وَّعِظَامًا اَنَّكُمْ مُّخْــرَجُوْنَ35 
کیا تمہیں یہ وعدہ دیتا ہے کہ تم جب مرجاؤ گے اور مٹی اور ہڈیاں ہوجاؤ گے اس کے بعد پھر نکالے جاؤ گے
" Say, ""In Whose hand is the control over all things, and He provides refuge, and none can provide refuge against Him, if you know?"" "
هَيْهَاتَ هَيْهَاتَ لِمَا تُوْعَدُوْنَ36 
کتنی دور ہے کتنی دور ہے جو تمہیں وعدہ دیا جاتا ہے
" Thereupon they will say, ""Such greatness is only that of Allah""; say, ""Then by what magic are you deceived?"" "
اِنْ هِىَ اِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا نَمُوْتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوْثِيْنَ37 
وہ تو نہیں مگر ہماری دنیا کی زندگی کہ ہم مرتے جیتے ہیں اور ہمیں اٹھنا نہیں
In fact We brought the Truth to them, and indeed they are liars.
اِنْ هُوَ اِلَّا رَجُلُۨ افْتَرٰى عَلَي اللّٰهِ كَذِبًا وَّمَا نَحْنُ لَهٗ بِمُؤْمِنِيْنَ38 
وہ تو نہیں مگر ایک مرد جس نے اللہ پر جھوٹ باندھا اور ہم اسے ماننے کے نہیں
Allah has not chosen any child, nor any other God along with Him – were it so, each God would have taken away its creation, and each one would certainly wish superiority over the other; Purity is to Allah above all the matters they fabricate.
قَالَ رَبِّ انْصُرْنِيْ بِمَا كَذَّبُوْنِ39 
عرض کی کہ اے میرے رب میری مدد فرما اس پر کہ انہوں نے مجھے جھٹلایا
The All Knowing, of every hidden and the visible – so Supremacy is to Him over their ascribing of partners (to Him).
قَالَ عَمَّا قَلِيْلٍ لَّيُصْبِحُنَّ نٰدِمِيْنَ40 
اللہ نے فرمایا کچھ دیر جاتی ہے کہ یہ صبح کریں گے پچھتاتے ہوئے
" Pray, ""My Lord! If You show me the promise they are given,"" "
فَاَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ بِالْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْنٰهُمْ غُثَاۗءً ۚ فَبُعْدًا لِّلْقَوْمِ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ41 
تو انہیں آلیا سچی چنگھاڑ نے تو ہم نے انہیں گھاس کوڑا کردیا تو دور ہوں ظالم لوگ
" ""Therefore my Lord, do not group me with the unjust."" "
ثُمَّ اَنْشَاْنَا مِنْۢ بَعْدِهِمْ قُرُوْنًا اٰخَرِيْنَ42 
پھر ان کے بعد ہم نے اور سنگتیں(قومیں)پیدا کیں
And indeed We are Able to show you the promise they are given.
مَا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ اُمَّةٍ اَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسْتَاْخِرُوْنَ43 
کوئی امت اپنی میعاد سے نہ پہلے جائے نہ پیچھے رہے
Repel evil with the best deeds; We well know the matters that they fabricate.
ثُمَّ اَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا تَتْرَا ۭ كُلَّمَا جَاۗءَ اُمَّةً رَّسُوْلُهَا كَذَّبُوْهُ فَاَتْبَعْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ بَعْضًا وَّجَعَلْنٰهُمْ اَحَادِيْثَ ۚ فَبُعْدًا لِّــقَوْمٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ44 
پھر ہم نے اپنے رسول بھیجے ایک پیچے دوسرا جب کسی امت کے پاس اس کا رسول آیا انہوں نے اسے جھٹلایا تو ہم نے اگلوں سے پچھلے ملادیے اور انہیں کہانیاں کر ڈالا تو دور ہوں وہ لوگ کہ ایمان نہیں لاتے
" And submit, ""My Lord! I seek Your refuge from the instigation of the devils."" "
ثُمَّ اَرْسَلْنَا مُوْسٰى وَاَخَاهُ هٰرُوْنَ ڏ بِاٰيٰتِنَا وَ سُلْطٰنٍ مُّبِيْنٍ45 
پھر ہم نے موسیٰ اور اس کے بھائی ہارون کو اپنی آیتوں اور روشن سند کے ساتھ بھیجا
" ""And my Lord, (I seek) Your refuge from their coming to me."" "
اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَا۟ىِٕهٖ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوْا وَكَانُوْا قَوْمًا عَالِيْنَ46 
فرعون اور اس کے درباریوں کی طرف تو انہوں نے غرور کیا اور وہ لوگ غلبہ پائے ہوئے تھے
" Until, when death comes to one* of them, he says, ""O my Lord, send me back!"" (The disbelievers) "
فَقَالُوْٓا اَنُؤْمِنُ لِبَشَرَيْنِ مِثْلِنَا وَقَوْمُهُمَا لَنَا عٰبِدُوْنَ47 
تو بولے کیا ہم ایمان لے آئیں اپنے جیسے دو آدمیوں پر اور ان کی قوم ہماری بندگی کررہی ہے
" ""Perhaps I may do some good deeds in what I have left behind""; this is just a word that he utters from his mouth; and confronting them is a barrier until the day in which they will be raised. "
فَكَذَّبُوْهُمَا فَكَانُوْا مِنَ الْمُهْلَكِيْنَ48 
تو انہوں نے ان دونوں کو جھٹلایا تو ہلاک کیے ہوؤں میں ہوگئے
So when the Trumpet is blown - so there will neither be any relationship among them * that day, nor will they ask about one another. (The disbelievers)
وَلَقَدْ اٰتَيْنَا مُوْسَى الْكِتٰبَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُوْنَ49 
اور بیشک ہم نے موسیٰ کو کتاب عطا فرمائی کہ ان کو ہدایت ہو
Therefore the ones whose scales prove heavy - they are the successful.
وَجَعَلْنَا ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَاُمَّهٗٓ اٰيَةً وَّاٰوَيْنٰهُمَآ اِلٰى رَبْوَةٍ ذَاتِ قَرَارٍ وَّمَعِيْنٍ   ۧ50 
اور ہم نے مریم اور اس کے بیٹے کو نشانی کیا اور انہیں ٹھکانا دیا ایک بلند زمین جہاں بسنے کا مقام اور نگاہ کے سامنے بہتا پانی
And the ones whose scales prove light – it is they who put their lives into ruin, remaining in hell forever.
يٰٓاَيُّهَا الرُّسُلُ كُلُوْا مِنَ الطَّيِّبٰتِ وَاعْمَلُوْا صَالِحًا ۭ اِنِّىْ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ عَلِيْمٌ51 
اے پیغمبرو!پاکیزہ چیزیں کھاؤ اور اچھا کام کرو، میں تمہارے کاموں کو جانتا ہوں
The fire shall scorch their faces, and they will remain dejected in it.
وَاِنَّ هٰذِهٖٓ اُمَّتُكُمْ اُمَّةً وَّاحِدَةً وَّاَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَاتَّــقُوْنِ52 
اور بیشک یہ تمہارا دین ایک ہی دین ہے اور میں تمہارا رب ہوں تو مجھ سے ڈرو
" ""Were not My verses recited to you, so you used to deny them?"" "
فَتَقَطَّعُوْٓا اَمْرَهُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ زُبُرًا ۭ كُلُّ حِزْبٍۢ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُوْنَ53 
تو ان کی امتوں نے اپنا کام آپس میں ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کرلیا ہر گروہ جو اس کے پاس ہے اس پر خوش ہے
" They will say, ""Our Lord! Our ill-fate overcame us, and we were the astray people."" "
فَذَرْهُمْ فِيْ غَمْرَتِهِمْ حَتّٰى حِيْنٍ54 
تو تم ان کو چھوڑ دو ان کے نشہ میں ایک وقت تک
" ""Our Lord, remove us from hell – then if we do the same, we are the unjust."" "
اَيَحْسَبُوْنَ اَنَّمَا نُمِدُّهُمْ بِهٖ مِنْ مَّالٍ وَّبَنِيْنَ55 
کیا یہ خیال کررہے ہیں کہ وہ جو ہم ان کی مدد کررہے ہیں مال اور بیٹوں سے
" Allah will say, ""Remain rebuked in it, and do not speak to Me."" "
نُسَارِعُ لَهُمْ فِي الْخَــيْرٰتِ ۭ بَلْ لَّا يَشْعُرُوْنَ56 
یہ جلد جلد ان کو بھلائیاں دیتے ہیں بلکہ انہیں خبر نہیں
" ""Indeed there was a group among My bondmen who said, 'Our Lord! We have accepted faith, therefore forgive us and have mercy on us, and You are the Best Among The Merciful.' "" "
اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ هُمْ مِّنْ خَشْـيَةِ رَبِّهِمْ مُّشْفِقُوْنَ57 
بیشک وہ جو اپنے رب کے ڈر سے سہمے ہوئے ہیں
" ""So you took them for a mockery until your mocking at them made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them!"" "
وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ بِاٰيٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ يُؤْمِنُوْنَ58 
اور وہ جو اپنے رب کی آیتوں پر ایمان لاتے ہیں
" ""Indeed this day I have rewarded them for their endurance, so that it is they who are the successful."" "
وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ بِرَبِّهِمْ لَا يُشْرِكُوْنَ59 
اور وہ جو اپنے رب کا کوئی شریک نہیں کرتے
" He will say, ""How long did you stay on earth, counting by the number of years? "
وَالَّذِيْنَ يُؤْتُوْنَ مَآ اٰتَوْا وَّقُلُوْبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ اَنَّهُمْ اِلٰى رَبِّهِمْ رٰجِعُوْنَ60 
اور وہ جو دیتے ہیں جو کچھ دیں اور ان کے دل ڈر رہے ہیں یوں کہ ان کو اپنے رب کی طرف پھرنا ہے
" They will say, ""We stayed a day or part of a day, so ask those who keep count."" "
اُولٰۗىِٕكَ يُسٰرِعُوْنَ فِي الْخَــيْرٰتِ وَهُمْ لَهَا سٰبِقُوْنَ61 
یہ لوگ بھلائیوں میں جلدی کرتے ہیں اور یہی سب سے پہلے انہیں پہنچے
" He will say, ""You stayed but only a little, if you knew."" "
وَلَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا اِلَّا وُسْعَهَا وَلَدَيْنَا كِتٰبٌ يَّنْطِقُ بِالْحَقِّ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُوْنَ62 
اور ہم کسی جان پر بوجھ نہیں رکھتے مگر اس کی طاقت بھر اور ہمارے پاس ایک کتاب ہے کہ حق بولتی ہے اور ان پر ظلم نہ ہوگا
So do you think that We have created you needlessly, and that you do not have to return to Us?
بَلْ قُلُوْبُهُمْ فِيْ غَمْرَةٍ مِّنْ ھٰذَا وَلَهُمْ اَعْمَالٌ مِّنْ دُوْنِ ذٰلِكَ هُمْ لَهَا عٰمِلُوْنَ63 
بلکہ ان کے دل اس سے غفلت میں ہیں اور ان کے کام ان کاموں سے جدا ہیں جنہیں وہ کررہے ہیں
So Most Supreme is Allah, the True King; there is no God except Him; Lord of the Throne of Honour.
حَتّيٰٓ اِذَآ اَخَذْنَا مُتْرَفِيْهِمْ بِالْعَذَابِ اِذَا هُمْ يَجْــــَٔــرُوْنَ64 
یہاں تک کہ جب ہم نے ان کے امیروں کو عذاب میں پکڑا تو جبھی وہ فریاد کرنے لگے
And the one who worships any other God along with Allah – of which he does not have any proof – his account is with his Lord; indeed there is no salvation for the disbelievers.
لَا تَجْــــَٔــرُوا الْيَوْمَ ۣاِنَّكُمْ مِّنَّا لَا تُنْصَرُوْنَ65 
آج فریاد نہ کرو، ہماری طرف سے تمہاری مدد نہ ہوگی
" And (O dear Prophet Mohammed - peace and blessings be upon him) say, ""My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, and You are the Best of all the Merciful."
قَدْ كَانَتْ اٰيٰتِيْ تُتْلٰى عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنْتُمْ عَلٰٓي اَعْقَابِكُمْ تَنْكِصُوْنَ66 
بیشک میری آیتیں تم پر پڑھی جاتی تھیں تو تم اپنی ایڑیوں کے بل الٹے پلٹتے تھے
This is a chapter which We have sent down and decreed its commands, and in which We have sent down clear verses, in order that you may ponder.
مُسْتَكْبِرِيْنَ ڰ بِهٖ سٰمِرًا تَهْجُرُوْنَ67 
خدمت حرم پر بڑائی مارتے ہو رات کو وہاں بیہودہ کہانیاں بکتے
The adulteress and the adulterer - punish each one of them with a hundred lashes; and may you not have pity on them in the religion to Allah, if you believe in Allah and the Last Day; and a group of believers must witness their punishment.
اَفَلَمْ يَدَّبَّرُوا الْقَوْلَ اَمْ جَاۗءَهُمْ مَّا لَمْ يَاْتِ اٰبَاۗءَهُمُ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ68 
حق کو چھوڑے ہوئے کیا انہوں نے بات کو سوچا نہیں یا ان کے پاس وہ آیا جو ان کے باپ دادا کے پاس نہ آیا تھا
The adulterer shall not marry except an adulteress or a polytheist woman, and none shall marry an adulteress except an adulterer or a polytheist; and this is forbidden for the believers.
اَمْ لَمْ يَعْرِفُوْا رَسُوْلَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَهٗ مُنْكِرُوْنَ69 
یا انہوں نے اپنے رسول کو نہ پہچانا تو وہ اسے بیگانہ سمجھ رہے ہیں
And those who accuse chaste women and do not bring four witnesses to testify - punish them with eighty lashes and do not ever accept their testimony; and it is they who are the wicked.
اَمْ يَقُوْلُوْنَ بِهٖ جِنَّةٌ ۭ بَلْ جَاۗءَهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَاَكْثَرُهُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كٰرِهُوْنَ70 
یا کہتے ہیں اسے سودا ہے بلکہ وہ تو ان کے پاس حق لائے اور ان میں اکثر حق برا لگتا ہے
Except those who repent after this and reform themselves; so indeed Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.
وَلَوِ اتَّبَـعَ الْحَقُّ اَهْوَاۗءَهُمْ لَــفَسَدَتِ السَّمٰوٰتُ وَالْاَرْضُ وَمَنْ فِيْهِنَّ ۭ بَلْ اَتَيْنٰهُمْ بِذِكْرِهِمْ فَهُمْ عَنْ ذِكْرِهِمْ مُّعْرِضُوْنَ71 
اور اگر حق ان کی خواہشوں کی پیروی کرتا تو ضرور آسمان اور زمین اور جو کوئی ان میں ہیں سب تباہ ہوجاتے بلکہ ہم تو ان کے پاس وہ چیز لائے جس میں ان کی ناموری تھی تو وہ اپنی عزت سے ہی منہ پھیرے ہوئے ہیں
And those who accuse their wives and do not have witnesses except their own statements – for such the testimony is that he bear the testimony four times by the name of Allah that he is truthful.
اَمْ تَسْـَٔــلُهُمْ خَرْجًا فَخَــرَاجُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ ڰ وَّهُوَ خَيْرُ الرّٰزِقِيْنَ72 
کیا تم ان سے کچھ اجرت مانگتے ہو تو تمہارے رب کا اجر سب سے بھلا اور وہ سب سے بہتر روزی دینے والا
And the fifth time, that the curse of Allah be upon him if he is a liar.
وَاِنَّكَ لَتَدْعُوْهُمْ اِلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيْمٍ73 
اور بیشک تم انہیں سیدھی راہ کی طرف بلاتے ہو
And the punishment shall be averted from the woman if she bears the testimony four times by the name of Allah, that the man is a liar.
وَاِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ عَنِ الصِّرَاطِ لَنٰكِبُوْنَ74 
اور بیشک جو آخرت پر ایما ن نہیں لاتے ضرور سیدھی راہ سے کترائے ہوئے ہیں
And the fifth time, that the wrath of Allah be upon her if the man is truthful.
وَلَوْ رَحِمْنٰهُمْ وَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِمْ مِّنْ ضُرٍّ لَّـــلَجُّوْا فِيْ طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُوْنَ75 
اور اگر ہم ان پر رحم کریں اور جو مصیبت ان پر پڑی ہے ٹال دیں تو ضرور بھٹ پنا(احسان فراموشی)کریں گے اپنی سرکشی میں بہکتے ہوئے
And were it not for Allah’s munificence and His mercy upon you and that Allah is the Acceptor of Repentance, the Wise – He would then have unveiled you.
وَلَقَدْ اَخَذْنٰهُمْ بِالْعَذَابِ فَمَا اسْتَكَانُوْا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَـضَرَّعُوْنَ76 
اور بیشک ہم نے انہیں عذاب میں پکڑا تو نہ وہ اپنے رب کے حضور میں جھکے اور نہ گڑگڑاتے ہیں
Indeed those who have brought this great accusation are a group from among you; do not consider it bad for you; on the contrary, it is good for you; for each man among them is the sin that he has earned; and for the one among them who played the greatest
حَتّٰٓي اِذَا فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ بَابًا ذَا عَذَابٍ شَدِيْدٍ اِذَا هُمْ فِيْهِ مُبْلِسُوْنَ   ۧ77 
یہاں تک کہ جب ہم نے ان پر کھولا کسی سخت عذاب کا دروازہ تو وہ اب اس میں ناامید پڑے ہیں
" Why was it not that the believing men and women, when you heard it, thought good of their own people, and had said, ""This is a clear accusation""? "
وَهُوَ الَّذِيْٓ اَنْشَاَ لَـكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْاَبْصَارَ وَالْاَفْـــِٕدَةَ ۭ قَلِيْلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُوْنَ78 
اور وہی ہے جس نے بنائے تمہارے لیے کان اور آنکھیں اور دل تم بہت ہی کم حق مانتے ہو
Why did they not bring four witnesses upon it? Since they did not bring witnesses, they themselves are liars before Allah.
وَهُوَ الَّذِيْ ذَرَاَكُمْ فِي الْاَرْضِ وَاِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُوْنَ79 
اور وہی ہے جس نے تمہیں زمین میں پھیلایا اور اسی کی طرف اٹھنا ہے
And were it not for Allah’s munificence and His mercy upon you in the world and in the Hereafter, a terrible punishment would have reached you for the discussions you fell into.
وَهُوَ الَّذِيْ يُـحْيٖ وَيُمِيْتُ وَ لَهُ اخْتِلَافُ الَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ ۭ اَفَلَا تَعْقِلُوْنَ80 
اور وہی جٕلائے اور مارے اور اسی کے لیے ہیں رات اور دن کی تبدیلیاں تو کیا تمہیں سمجھ نہیں
When you rumoured with your tongues after hearing such matters, and uttered with your mouths about which you had no knowledge, and you considered it light; and that, in the sight of Allah, is very great.
بَلْ قَالُوْا مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ الْاَوَّلُوْنَ81 
بلکہ انہوں نے وہی کہی جو اگلے کہتے تھے
" And why was it not that, when you heard it, you would have said, ""It does not befit us to speak regarding this; Purity is to You, O Allah – this is a great accusation."" "
قَالُوْٓا ءَاِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَّعِظَامًا ءَ اِنَّا لَمَبْعُوْثُوْنَ82 
بولے کیا جب ہم مرجائیں اور مٹی اور ہڈیاں ہوجائیں کیا پھر نکالے جائیں گے
Allah advises you never to speak like this again, if you have faith.
لَقَدْ وُعِدْنَا نَحْنُ وَاٰبَاۗؤُنَا ھٰذَا مِنْ قَبْلُ اِنْ ھٰذَآ اِلَّآ اَسَاطِيْرُ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ83 
بیشک یہ وعدہ ہم کو اور ہم سے پہلے ہمارے باپ دادا کو دیا گیا یہ تو نہیں مگر وہی اگلی داستانیں
And Allah clearly explains the verses for you; and Allah is All Knowing, Wise.
قُلْ لِّمَنِ الْاَرْضُ وَمَنْ فِيْهَآ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ84 
تم فرماؤ کس کا مال ہے زمین اور جو کچھ اس میں ہے اگر تم جانتے ہو
Indeed those who wish that slander should spread among the Muslims – for them is a painful punishment in this world and in the Hereafter; and Allah knows, and you do not know.
سَيَقُوْلُوْنَ لِلّٰهِ ۭ قُلْ اَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُوْنَ85 
اب کہیں گے کہ اللہ کا تم فرماؤ پھر کیوں نہیں سوچتے
And were it not for Allah’s munificence and His mercy upon you, and that Allah is Forgiving, Most Merciful - you would have tasted its outcome.
قُلْ مَنْ رَّبُّ السَّمٰوٰتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ86 
تم فرماؤ کون ہے مالک سوتوں آسمانوں کا اور مالک بڑے عرش کا
O People who Believe! Do not follow the footsteps of the devil; and whoever follows the footsteps of the devil – so he will only bid the indecent and the evil; and were it not for Allah’s munificence and His mercy upon you, none of you would ever become
سَيَقُوْلُوْنَ لِلّٰهِ ۭ قُلْ اَفَلَا تَتَّقُوْنَ87 
اب کہیں گے یہ اللہ ہی کی شان ہے، تم فرماؤ پھر کیوں نہیں ڈرتے
And may not those who possess superiority (in wealth) among you and possess capacity, swear not to give to the relatives and to the needy, and to immigrants in Allah's cause; and they should forgive and forbear; do you not like that Allah may forgive you
قُلْ مَنْۢ بِيَدِهٖ مَلَكُوْتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَّهُوَ يُجِيْرُ وَلَا يُجَارُ عَلَيْهِ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ88 
تم فرماؤ کس کے ہاتھ ہے ہر چیز کا قابو اور وہ پناہ دیتا ہے اور اس کے خلاف کوئی پناہ نہیں دے سکتا اگر تمہیں علم ہو
Indeed those who accuse the innocent virtuous, believing women – upon them is a curse in this world and in the Hereafter; and for them is a terrible punishment.
سَيَقُوْلُوْنَ لِلّٰهِ ۭ قُلْ فَاَنّٰى تُسْحَرُوْنَ89 
اب کہیں گے یہ اللہ ہی کی شان ہے، تم فرماؤ پھر کس جادو کے فریب میں پڑے ہو
On the day when their tongues and their hands and their feet will testify against them, regarding what they used to do.
بَلْ اَتَيْنٰهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَاِنَّهُمْ لَكٰذِبُوْنَ90 
بلکہ ہم ان کے پاس حق لائے اور وہ بیشک جھوٹے ہیں
On that day Allah will give them their true punishment, and they will know that Allah only is the Clear Truth.
مَا اتَّخَذَ اللّٰهُ مِنْ وَّلَدٍ وَّمَا كَانَ مَعَهٗ مِنْ اِلٰهٍ اِذًا لَّذَهَبَ كُلُّ اِلٰهٍۢ بِمَا خَلَقَ وَلَعَلَا بَعْضُهُمْ عَلٰي بَعْضٍ ۭ سُبْحٰنَ اللّٰهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُوْنَ91 
اللہ نے کوئی بچہ اختیار نہ کیا اور نہ اس کے ساتھ کوئی دوسرا خدا یوں ہوتا تو ہر خدا اپنی مخلوق لے جاتا اور ضرور ایک دوسرے پر اپنی تعلی چاہتا پاکی ہے اللہ کو ان باتوں سے جو یہ بناتے ہیں
Vile women for vile men, and vile men for vile women; and virtuous women for virtuous men, and virtuous men for virtuous women; such are innocent of what these people say; for them are forgiveness, and an honourable sustenance.
عٰلِمِ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَتَعٰلٰى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُوْنَ   ۧ92 
جاننے والا ہر نہاں و عیاں کا تو اسے بلندی ہے ان کے شرک سے
O People who Believe! Do not enter the houses except your own until you obtain permission and have conveyed peace upon its inhabitants; this is better for you, in order that you may ponder.
قُلْ رَّبِّ اِمَّا تُرِيَــنِّيْ مَا يُوْعَدُوْنَ93 
تم عرض کرو کہ اے میرے رب!اگر تو مجھے دکھائے جو انہیں وعدہ دیا جاتا ہے
" And if you do not find anyone in them, even then do not enter without the permission of their owners; and if it is said to you, ""Go away"" then go away – this is much purer for you; and Allah knows your deeds. "
رَبِّ فَلَا تَجْعَلْنِيْ فِي الْقَوْمِ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ94 
تو اے میرے رب!مجھے ان ظالموں کے ساتھ نہ کرنا
There is no sin upon you to enter houses not made especially for someone’s habitation, and you have permission for its use; and Allah knows what you disclose and what you hide.
وَاِنَّا عَلٰٓي اَنْ نُّرِيَكَ مَا نَعِدُهُمْ لَقٰدِرُوْنَ95 
اور بیشک ہم قادر ہیں کہ تمہیں دکھادیں جو انہیں وعدہ دے رہے ہیں
Command the Muslim men to keep their gaze low and to protect their private organs; that is much purer for them; indeed Allah is Aware of their deeds.
اِدْفَعْ بِالَّتِيْ هِىَ اَحْسَنُ السَّيِّئَةَ ۭ نَحْنُ اَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَصِفُوْنَ96 
سب سے اچھی بھلائی سے برائی کو دفع کرو ہم خوب جانتے ہیں جو باتیں یہ بناتے ہیں
And command the Muslim women to keep their gaze low and to protect their chastity, and not to reveal their adornment except what is apparent, and to keep the cover wrapped over their bosoms; and not to reveal their adornment except to their own husbands
وَقُلْ رَّبِّ اَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزٰتِ الشَّيٰطِيْنِ97 
اور تم عرض کرو کہ اے میرے رب تیری پناہ شیاطین کے وسوسو ں سے
And enjoin in marriage those among you who are not married, and your deserving slaves and bondwomen; if they are poor, Allah will make them wealthy by His munificence; and Allah is Most Capable, All Knowing.
وَاَعُوْذُ بِكَ رَبِّ اَنْ يَّحْضُرُوْنِ98 
اور اے میرے رب تیری پناہ کہ وہ میرے پاس آئیں
And those who do not have the means to get married must keep chaste till Allah provides them the resources by His munificence; and the bondwomen in your possession who, in order to earn something, seek a letter of freedom from you – then write it for the
حَتّيٰٓ اِذَا جَاۗءَ اَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ رَبِّ ارْجِعُوْنِ99 
یہاں تک کہ جب ان میں کسی کو موت آئے تو کہتا ہے کہ اے میرے رب مجھے واپس پھر دیجئے
And indeed We have sent down towards you clear verses, and some account of those who preceded you, and advice for the pious.
لَعَلِّيْٓ اَعْمَلُ صَالِحًا فِيْمَا تَرَكْتُ كَلَّا ۭ اِنَّهَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَاۗىِٕلُهَا ۭ وَمِنْ وَّرَاۗىِٕهِمْ بَرْزَخٌ اِلٰى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُوْنَ100 
شاید اب میں کچھ بھلائی کماؤں اس میں جو چھوڑ آیا ہوں ہشت یہ تو ایک بات ہے جو وہ اپنے منہ سے کہتا ہے اور ان کے آگے ایک آڑ ہے اس دن تک جس دن اٹھائے جائیں گے
Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth; the example of His light is like a niche in which is a lamp; the lamp is in a glass; the glass is as if it were a star shining like a pearl, kindled by the blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of th
فَاِذَا نُفِخَ فِي الصُّوْرِ فَلَآ اَنْسَابَ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَىِٕذٍ وَّلَا يَتَسَاۗءَلُوْنَ101 
تو جب صُور پھونکا جائے گا تو نہ ان میں رشتے رہیں گے اور نہ ایک دوسرے کی بات پوچھے
In the houses (mosques) which Allah has commanded to erect and in which His name is taken – praising Allah in them at morn and evening,
فَمَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِيْنُهٗ فَاُولٰۗىِٕكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُوْنَ102 
تو جن کی تولیں بھاری ہولیں وہی مراد کچھ پہنچے
(Are) Those men, whom neither any bargain nor any trade distracts from the Remembrance of Allah and from establishing the prayer and from paying the charity – they fear the day when the hearts and the eyes will be overturned.
وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِيْنُهٗ فَاُولٰۗىِٕكَ الَّذِيْنَ خَسِرُوْٓا اَنْفُسَهُمْ فِيْ جَهَنَّمَ خٰلِدُوْنَ ١103 
اور جن کی تولیں ہلکی پڑیں وہی ہیں جنہوں نے اپنی جانیں گھاٹے میں ڈالیں ہمیشہ دوزخ میں رہیں گے
In order that Allah may reward them for their best deeds and by His munificence, bestow upon them an increased reward; and Allah gives sustenance to whomever He wills, without account.
تَلْفَحُ وُجُوْهَهُمُ النَّارُ وَهُمْ فِيْهَا كٰلِحُوْنَ104 
ان کے منہ پر آگ لپیٹ مارے گی اور وہ اس میں منہ چڑائے ہوں گے
And those who disbelieved - their deeds are like a mirage in the wasteland, so the thirsty may believe it to be water; to the extent that when he came close to it, he found it is nothing and found Allah close to him, so He filled his account; and Allah i
اَلَمْ تَكُنْ اٰيٰـتِيْ تُتْلٰى عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنْتُمْ بِهَا تُكَذِّبُوْنَ105 
کیا تم پر میری آیتیں نہ پڑھی جاتی تھیں تو تم انہیں جھٹلاتے تھے
Or like realms of darkness on a deep sea, which is covered by a wave, the wave covered by another wave, and above it is a cloud; layers of darkness upon darkness; if he removes his hand it does not seem visible; and the one to whom Allah does not provide
قَالُوْا رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتْ عَلَيْنَا شِقْوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوْمًا ضَاۗلِّيْنَ106 
کہیں گے اے ہمارے رب ہم پر ہماری بدبختی غالب آئی اور ہم گمراہ لوگ تھے
Have you not seen that all those who are in the heavens and the earth praise Allah, and the birds with their wings spread (also praise Him)? Each one has learnt its prayers and its words of praise; and Allah knows their deeds.
رَبَّنَآ اَخْرِجْنَا مِنْهَا فَاِنْ عُدْنَا فَاِنَّا ظٰلِمُوْنَ107 
اے رب ہمارے ہم کو دوزخ سے نکال دے پھر اگر ہم ویسے ہی کریں تو ہم ظالم ہیں
And for Allah only is the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and towards Allah is the return.
قَالَ اخْسَـُٔـوْا فِيْهَا وَلَا تُكَلِّمُوْنِ108 
رب فرمائے گا دھتکارے(خائب و خاسر)پڑے رہو اس میں اور مجھ سے بات نہ کرو
Have you not seen that Allah slowly transports the clouds, then gathers them together, then heaps them together, so you see the rain coming forth from between them? And from the sky He sends down hail from the mountains of ice, then sends them upon whome
اِنَّهٗ كَانَ فَرِيْقٌ مِّنْ عِبَادِيْ يَقُوْلُوْنَ رَبَّنَآ اٰمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَاَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرّٰحِمِيْنَ ١109 
بیشک میرے بندوں کا ایک گروہ کہتا تھا اے ہمارے رب!ہم ایمان لائے تو ہمیں بخش دے اور ہم پر رحم کر اور تو سب سے بہتر رحم کرنے والا ہے
Allah alternates the day and the night; indeed in this is a lesson for those who can perceive.
فَاتَّخَذْتُمُوْهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا حَتّٰٓي اَنْسَوْكُمْ ذِكْرِيْ وَكُنْتُمْ مِّنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُوْنَ110 
تو تم نے انہیں ٹھٹھا بنالیا یہاں تک کہ انہیں بنانے کے شغل میں میری یاد بھول گئے اور تم ان سے ہنسا کرتے
And Allah created every animal on earth, from water; so among them is a kind that moves upon its belly; and among them is a kind that moves upon two legs; and among them a kind that moves upon four legs; Allah creates whatever He wills; indeed Allah is A
اِنِّىْ جَزَيْتُهُمُ الْيَوْمَ بِمَا صَبَرُوْٓا ۙ اَنَّهُمْ هُمُ الْفَاۗىِٕزُوْنَ111 
بیشک آج میں نے ان کے صبر کا انہیں یہ بدلہ دیا کہ وہی کامیاب ہیں
And We indeed sent down clear verses; and Allah may guide whomever He wills to the Straight Path.
قٰلَ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِي الْاَرْضِ عَدَدَ سِنِيْنَ112 
فرمایا تم زمین میں کتنا ٹھہرے برسوں کی گنتی سے
" And they say, ""We have accepted faith in Allah and His Noble Messenger, and we obey""; then after that a group among them turns away; and they are not Muslims. "
قَالُوْا لَبِثْنَا يَوْمًا اَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ فَسْـَٔـــلِ الْعَاۗدِّيْنَ113 
بولے ہم ایک دن رہے یا دن کا حصہ تو گننے والوں سے دریافت فرما
And when called towards Allah and His Noble Messenger in order that the Noble Messenger may judge between them, thereupon a group among them turns away.
قٰلَ اِنْ لَّبِثْتُمْ اِلَّا قَلِيْلًا لَّوْ اَنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ114 
فرمایا تم نہ ٹھہرے مگر تھوڑا اگر تمہیں علم ہوتا
And if the judgement is in their favour, they come towards it willingly.
اَفَحَسِبْتُمْ اَنَّمَا خَلَقْنٰكُمْ عَبَثًا وَّاَنَّكُمْ اِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُوْنَ115 
تو کیا یہ سمجھتے ہو کہ ہم نے تمہیں بیکار بنایا اور تمہیں ہماری طرف پھرنا نہیں
Are their hearts diseased, or do they have doubts, or do they fear that Allah and His Noble Messenger will oppress them? In fact they themselves are the unjust.
فَتَعٰلَى اللّٰهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ ۚ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ ۚ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيْمِ116 
تو بہت بلندی والا ہے اللہ سچا بادشاہ کوئی معبود نہیں سوا اس کے عزت والے عرش کا مالک
" The saying of the Muslims when they are called towards Allah and His Noble Messenger in order that the Noble Messenger judge between them is that they submit, ""We hear and we obey""; and it is they who have attained the goal. "
وَمَنْ يَّدْعُ مَعَ اللّٰهِ اِلٰــهًا اٰخَرَ ۙ لَا بُرْهَانَ لَهٗ بِهٖ ۙ فَاِنَّمَا حِسَابُهٗ عِنْدَ رَبِّهٖ ۭ اِنَّهٗ لَا يُفْلِحُ الْكٰفِرُوْنَ117 
اور جو اللہ کے ساتھ کسی دوسرے خدا کو پوجے جس کی اس کے پاس کوئی سند نہیں تو اس کا حساب اس کے رب کے یہاں ہے، بیشک کافروں کا چھٹکارا نہیں
And whoever obeys the command of Allah and His Noble Messenger, and fears Allah, and practices piety - so it is they who are the successful.
وَقُلْ رَّبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَاَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرّٰحِمِيْنَ ١   ۧ118 
اور تم عرض کرو، اے میرے رب بخش دے اور رحم فرما اور تو سب سے برتر رحم کرنے والا
" And they swore by Allah most vehemently in their oaths that if you order them, they will go forth to holy war; say, ""Do not swear; obedience according to the law is required; indeed Allah knows what you do."" "
